Something that I always suggest because I think it makes it much easier:
At Deathsinger, assuming you take down the witches and shriekers in a timely fashion, you then focus on all other enemies, more importantly the ones that shoot. Take them out until the Deathsinger starts her liturgy. If you have taken out all, or most, of the shooting enemies, you just run in, jump up high, and unload on the Deathsinger, since she won't be moving. I like this better than getting bombarded and having to shoot a moving target, but that's just me. It's a semi well known strategy, but not everyone knows so I figured I'd share to see if others agreed or not.

We've adopted this in our normal raid group. Usually have the two people from one side who helped kill witch run to other side once she's down and help clear mobs so you have a relatively safe place to stand. While they're doing that the third person from that side rockets the purple thing (cant remember what it's called atm) then runs over to help the main group.

Right, if you are looking out from the starting hallway, the side on your left seems to get bombarded the most. We always have that side go over and join the rest of the team on the right after dispatching the wizard and shrieker, and enter from there. You can actually use the stairs on that side to recover while clearing the enemies out. side note: I tried to use my titan to go in and clear the shrieker on HM and it did NOT go well. I have little trouble normally when I use an invis hunter or self-res warlock.
