Those who run sword
Are the best players in the raid.
Edit: I ran it with my hunter last night, could get 4 RT's in max, glitched a few times but was so satisfying when he finally went down!
Edit: How many people killed crota in 2 or less swords on normal? Y or N - 500+ replies, loving what people think, I'm not taking away from the fact you need a good team, crota on hard does filter out the good teams to the scrubs who relied on cheese.

I love being support and watching the sword bearer kill Crota. I get as excited just watching it go down and freak out for my friend everytime Crota gets back up. You are correct - those who run sword successfully are the best and I thank you all for your hard work. Thank You

I agree. It is also the most fun part of the raid. It is so boring being boomer duty or downing crota. Also all the thanks go to the sword bearer at the end of the raid. I love people's reactions when I get Crota to less than half health on one sword. They get so hyped and are like we got this guys. Hunters are born-swordbearers.

1 ReplyI love all these people talking about how I should thank them for keeping boomers off my ass. Bladedancer, invisible, blink strike after first kneel down, invisible. My point is I don't need you to touch boomers, just down Crota when I say so and don't die while rotating.

1 ReplyDoes he get up faster in hard mode. We ran it last night. I know my timing was a lil off but he was getting up usually after two rt sometimes one. Now I'm not great but my timing is better than one hit per kneel. Just curious or just maybe we had some funk going on.

Been running sword as well, I honestly prefer it. Had a raid team that wouldn't dps crota hard enough to drop his shields before he moved (despite all being 32 with max gear) and then blamed me for not killing crota fast enough. Ran with my normal raid group shortly after; took him down no problem haha.

1 ReplyI was with a team that couldn't get it, we invited two experts to help and it was then when I realized why we weren't getting it done. The experts knew what they were doing but two guys from our team kept arguing with them and almost kicked them. Finally I told everyone to shut up, no more suggestions, let's just let these guys help us. We did and beat it the next run - omfg how easy it is when everyone sticks to the f-ing plan! Listen to the Sword Bearer! Best advice out there!

My sword guy gets nine hits per sword, with only a double down. It's well impressive to watch tbh haha. I can only get 6/7 so we let him have sword preference :P

Start hitting him as he's standing, just before he kneels - you can get 7 max

1 Replymost damage I ever had in 1 sword run was 4 rt 3 times with a special right at the end life bar drops down to under the r in his name and I'm not even that good with sword

Who ever runs sword is in charge of the raid. No questions asked, just do what he says. (This is assuming they know what they're doing)

I agree only because I'm the sword runner! Took him down with all three classes. I had a little trouble with Titan but mostly because I just used hunter and wasn't quite used to it. Good excuse I know. But all in all nothing beats running the sword or relic IMO
