I've been playing destiny for a little bit now. Honestly for as much as ppl bitch about it, it's still a fun game. The reason that most of us cry about how things need changed is because we care and want to have fun. When I go to work most of the guys I work with play. We come up with ideas all the time for this game. The biggest discussions we have are having lately is about the weapons and the damage they do. Not necessarily saying "nerf this, buff that," it's along the lines of let's make things more fun and interesting. One idea we came up with is add the ability to change the stats on a weapon. For example Atheon's Epiloge has an insane rate of fire but it's range and impact are pretty much garbage water. So instead of just straight up swapping rate of fire for impact, it occurs a penalty. Ie. if you decide you want more impact for every one point of rate of fire you drop you gain half a point of impact. So it's not a 1-for-1 swap. But also cap it. Can't just go all willy nilly with crap for RoF and have insane impact. Another idea that we have been tossing around is the damage type. Great I have Atheon's Epiloge but the weekly nightfall is arc burn and all I have is a sniper and a heavy machine gun that do that type of damage. So for this weeks nightfall I'm boned. Instead of being completely effed we now have this option of damage reforging. So sweet I reforge my Epiloge and it now does arc damage but it what do I lose in the process. Here is the neat thing, so the weapon is maxed should I start from beginning again? Hell yes. You Are completely changing the weapon, it might as well be brand new. So you are at square one. Also it cost's either 'X' motes of light or strange coins. So it makes you chose do I want what Zur has or do I want a different type of damage for my gun?? Along with the cost it gets more expensive every single time to a cap (kinda like respeccing in WoW). I've rambled on enough. But these are just two small ideas that can be expounded upon (aka what about choosing your weapon perks???). Please leave comments positive or negative. Also include your ideas. It adds another dimension to a game that has such high potential!
