I NEED 1 STRANGE COIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so as you probably know, Xur has the Patience and Time sniper. I was so happy to buy it, but I only have 16 coins, so I need one more to buy it for 17 coins. So I already did the weekly challenge up to level 26, so I could do level 28 with a friend who is a level 28 warlock, but still, it's extremely hard. Someone else said that I could make a second character, get him to level 20 and I could do the level 22 weekly challenge for 3 coins, but 0-20 in a day is hard. Someone else said something about farming, but I, who have turned in 29 RARE ENGRAMS HAVE GOT 0 STRANGE COINS FROM THEM. So I don't think that's reliable. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me. I am desperate.Oh, by the way, I am a level 25 hunter.

The 4th gold chest on mars gives a strange coin. There are dozens of websites with the gold chest locations.

Wow, level 25... I would say solo the Weekly, but you're not strong enough to do it. Have you done the gold chest run on Mars? You get a Strange Coin from doing that.

If you're on ps4 I'll carry you through lv 28 or nightfall. I got 10 strange coins from the nightfall this week.

start doing some tiger strikes. also try some public events, its a long shot but who knows?

When I needed one coin I check Mars! The 4th gold chest u find rewards you with a strange coin. Not sure how many u found on Mars, I was lucky and only found 3 at the time I needed the fourth

First public event I did with my 2nd character gave me a strange coin. Maybe try new character. Also I think I got about 5 rare coins way back when I was doing the story playthrough with my first character. So it might not take to long doing it this way...just a thought

Edited by jerkcore: 10/31/2014 2:49:21 PMKeep grinding. Tiger strike playlist, do the dailies & weeklies. You will get at least one more coin before xur leaves. Rank the cryptarch for the level rewards. Same for vendors (vanguard, crucible, factions), their ranking gifts can also be coins. Run patrols if you want a break from strikes. If you've done the nightfall, that xp bonus also applies to vendor ranking.

decoherent engrams are your best friend, do vanguard tiger strikes and collect a bunch.

2 RepliesOnly advice I have is to keep doing vanguard strike. Did 5 yesterday in little over 75 minutes to get the 23rd strange coin I thought I needed. Wonder why it was reduced to 17(?)

If all you need is one, do the Vanguard Tiger Strike playlist until you get a strange coin from the engram reward. You could be like me, I need 7. Gotta try to squeeze in another attempt at the weekly this weekend, time permitting. Good luck, see you starside.
