6 RepliesEdited by xurs cheeky bag: 7/2/2014 4:49:54 AMI actually thought it started off pretty strong. Lockdown was well introduced, and the whole "kill-ALL-transformers-not-just-Decepticons" thing was interesting. I didn't expect it at first. Then they started shoehorning stuff in. They crammed The Creators, Lockdown, Dinobots, Galvatron, the Knights of Cybertron, and man-made Transformers into one movie. Seriously, you can leave some shit out. The presentation of Transformium was absolutely retarded. Why did it turn into floating cubes to change form? That's not how normal Transformers change. From the first scene of the movie, it's implied that the creators of the Transformers were organic. Almost every piece of Transformers lore states that Primus was the creator of the Thirteen Primes, and every other subsequent Transformer. As someone who considers themselves a Transformers buff I've never really liked the Bayformers films that much, and while AoE wasn't that good, it really could have been a lot worse. EDIT: Done fecked up my lore. I forgot about the Quintessons. It's been so long since I watched the G1 cartoons.

At least it didn't have the guy that played as Sam.

which prime comes after Optimus since he left earth?
hopefully Rodimus but I'm not sure michael bay even knows that much
-
9 RepliesNo it's Michael Bay he makes horrible movies.
-
Rodimus Prime when he destroys Unicron in the real Transformers movie
-
1 ReplyRodimus prime duhh and there's like 5 creators I don't remember their names though :(
-
1 ReplyI thought it was cool. Took too long to see the dinos, the romance was gay and there was just too much cramped into one movie

2 Replies3 hours of explosions and forceful product placement.

1 Reply"Do I have insurance? It's a god damn SPACESHIP" "Honey.....hand me my alien gun" Yeah, I enjoyed it. *sips tea*

I wish I had watched Transformers 2 instead of going to see it. That's how bad it was.
-
It was horrible. I like the third one the best
-
I'm going to see it Wednesday with my friend. The ratings on it are really bad, but I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.
-
It's terrible, some scenes make it look like the budget they had was only $10

31 RepliesEdited by HurtfulTurkey: 6/29/2014 1:39:01 AMNot a huge fan of the comically evil unnamed government agency going around killing autobots. Everything just felt really shoehorned-in, like the existence of 'Transformium' (why could the human-made Transformers do that cool flying-metal morphing thing, when they made it clear that it's the same material the others are made of? How did they figure out how to control it?), the creators which are briefly glimpsed and never seen again, the gang of bounty hunters that just appears out of nowhere that the government pays to help kill Transformers...despite having a vendetta against all Transformers, the Silver Knights, all the new autobots, etc. It was really just a poorly developed movie, but if you're willing to shut off your brain and watch three hours of explosions, it could be fun. Also, this guy's wardrobe looks like it was designed by a 7 year old. Black trenchcoats over v-necks? "My face is my warrant"? Are you -blam!-ing kidding me?

I thought it was better than the past 2, I really enjoyed it.

7 RepliesPretty good movie, way better cast than the 3rd one. The movie did have some stupid moments but it was a good sequel. Crosshairs looked awesome.
-
It's what you would expect from Michael bay, no plot, explosions out the yin yang. However there are SO MANY ADS!
-
I heard it is really bad.

Transformers is a joint venture between Takrara-Tomy (then known simply as "Takara"), largely (but far from entirely) based on their Diaclone toy line, and Hasbro, who spearheaded the marketing and is largely responsible for the fiction (due to Hasbro choosing to have Marvel work on it, keystone figures on that front are Bob Budanski from Marvel US and Simon Furman of Marvel UK), and funding marketing by and large. But you probably mean in-universe. It's different from continuity to continuity. Sometimes they were created by the mostly organic Quintession aliens, sometime by one or more gods (usually Primus), and sometimes by the mysterious All-Spark artifact, as is the case in the Movie-universe.

hate to say it dude, but the latest Transformers movie was terrible. They made Optimus seem like he was bipolar. Then with all the explosions, crashes, etc. that Marky Mark and his daughter went through without a scratch.....really?
-
lockdown was a fckn beast galvatron was eh. prime was awesomesauce with dinobots all human characters were lol
-
1 ReplyCan't Bay just move on to Digimon already? That's a generation that deserves its childhood to be destroyed as well.
-
2 RepliesThe romance between the daughter and her boyfriend was boring and interrupted the action. You could cut all those scenes out and I would still enjoy the film.

1 ReplyThe Quintessons are the creators.
