"It's definitely alot faster than halo"
"Good players will be get away SOME of the time, but it will definitely be alot harder now"
"You won't want to just play Multiplayer"
"There is no stock (vanilla) multiplayer"
"You can only voice chat with your fireteam"
seriously? What the -blam!-?
Competitive multiplayer, you finally -blam!-ing talk about it and it's this?
You tell us that in the game you have significantly lower health level than you did in Halo games? WTF? WE LOVED THAT. That was competitive!! This isn't call of duty, I'm serious, we don't want kill times to be half a second, we want kill times to be atleast 2/3 seconds, enough time for a reaction, tactics, just like halo 3/2!
You said if you catch a really good player, he MIGHT be able to get away from an engagement and use tactics against you, WHAT THE -blam!- AM I LISTENING TO? What is this bullshit? !!
MY JIMMIES ARE -blam!-ING RUSTLED.
You said players can't play the multiplayer without starting their character? Why the -blam!- not? Not everyone is a campaign heavy chronic masturbater, I want my competitive fill! This isn't -blam!-ing competitive if I die in less time than the average human reaction time!
Another thing, no -blam!-ing proximity chat? What are we? 2? I don't give a -blam!- if someone's going to trash talk in the game, I couldn't give a shit! I would like a social experience and not just the option to talk with my fire team ONLY, like stated! THE -blam!- IS WRONG WITH YOU BUNGIE THIS IS THE POLAR OPPOSITE OF WHAT WE WANT.
No stock multiplayer? -blam!-ing better, now we have to worry about OP weapons, too. No stock vanilla multiplayer, that's -blam!-ing awesome. I'll enjoy being a level 5 using a pistol fighting level 200s with rocket launchers.
I'm done, Bungie. You -blam!-ed up.

28 RepliesEdited by FairlySplendid: 12/10/2013 5:12:39 AM- Your first problem is you think you speak for everyone. Your opinions and sentiments are your our. You don't represent Bungie's entire fanbase. - Your second problem is you somehow convinced yourself that Destiny was going to have competitive multiplayer akin to Halo. Despite Bungie repetitively stating it wouldn't. Destiny is not a traditional competitive-FPS arena shooter. It's a campaign co-op driven, social shoot 'n loot exploration game. So many of the "staples" of FPS competitive gaming structure, ideology, and culture (the good, the bad, the ugly) don't necessary belong in Destiny. Destiny could have been yet another competitive-shooter in an sea of competitive shooters. Instead, Bungie took their passion for first person shooters and focused it on a still emerging genre.... console FPS+RPGs. Where Destiny can prosper and, if their play their cards right, become the new gold standard in the genre. Or they could have rehashed an idea in a growingly stale genre and gotten criticized for "Making another Halo....". Personally, I'm glad they went with the former over the latter. The last thing Bungie needs to do is get type-casted.

Edited by MALTHUSIA: 2/6/2014 12:49:20 AMQuit whining and go play CoD then. Sheesh. Is it that hard. If all you want is pvp this game is not for you. That was fairly obvious a long long time ago. I mean you do realize in Halo multiplayer your still a SPARTAN! Spartans have shields, our Destiny Guardians will have a "sortof" barrier before the health is affcted but its nowhere near as protective.

1 ReplyEdited by Commander Tempu: 2/6/2014 12:49:15 AMAnother MLG kid who wants everything to conform to them. Its not a game its to see how well some cheat's or how high they can rack up the score if legit. I am not hating on skill. Just some players lose sight of having fun for big egos and how good they claim to be thus are obsessed with being the best. Its like Poor Captain Ahab you slay the whale but the whale breaks your ship. So obsessed you were with that one thing you pushed aside all else and for what ? Was it worth it ?, All the times you had to enjoy things Multiplayer should be about fun also. people forget this.

Oh, so Destiny has been released? And you'd played it?! Wow, where can I get one?
you twit
3 RepliesEdited by Player 1: 1/6/2014 6:20:23 AMSo..., you mad?

Based in why you have typed, I am overjoyed that I won't run the risk of having to listen to you talk in game...

I will reply to this the same way I reply to everyone who has a problem with Bungie's games after Halo 2. Don't tell Bungie, tell MLG. If MLG would have a company develop their own competitive multiplayer game, it will probably be Halo-style and be perfectly balanced. Bungie can do whatever they want to do. If you truly want a 100% competitive experience, you're talking to the wrong people.

1 ReplyThis idiot fails to realize there are levels in this game and most likely with each level up your health increases, plus skills may increase health and character class may also contribute to it such as a titan may have way more health than a warlock.

Another example of a dumbass costumer you don't like want their doing stay of the furoms and don't by the game easy.

2 RepliesHonestly you complain about quick kill times? You know the only online shooter with slow kill times that's even played by a "substantial" population right now is Halo. Now I want you to take a good look at Halo. Not doin' so hot is it? It makes perfect sense for them to go this route, and honestly it was expected. The game isn't Call of Duty because it has quick kill times, virtually every top shooter on the market has quick kill times. It's fast paced and keeps the action going and keeps players enticed. But go ahead, by all means, continue about how Bungie has failed us.

Edited by UndeadJon: 1/6/2014 4:04:33 AMSounds pretty cool, I'm happy that Bungie is exploring different options for their gameplay mechanics instead of making complete repeat of Halo style gameplay. But seriously you didn't expect them to tweak Halo controls and shove them into Destiny did you? Also I like how you prefer to talk as if you alone are the entire Bungie community.
-
You haven't even seen it in action (in any substantive way). The system they design will be right for Destiny, not Halo. Chill and wait for more info.

We all knew that destiny wouldn't have death matches. It was going to be co-op and PvP

2 RepliesMultiplayer? Why not Zoidberg?
You tell us that in the game you have significantly lower health level than you did in Halo games? WTF? WE LOVED THAT. That was competitive!! This isn't call of duty
...And it isn't halo either.

Edited by Progo: 12/10/2013 3:30:39 AMBungie's motto is "We make games we want to play." They made Halo, the game you love, they are betting that you will grow to love their new creation, Destiny. The makers of Halo themselves wouldn't settle for crappy gameplay mechanics.
-
1 ReplyCool opinion. Great news for you, you don't have to buy the game.

4 RepliesIt's almost like competitive PVP isn't the main focus of this game.

You people are -blam!-ing nuts.

U kind of want to start a character for campaign, because that's your online character
