Post your favorite anime and the reason why you like it.
Mine is Shakugan no Shana. The reason is because the plot is really original and the characters are loveable.

1 ReplyMirai Nikki (Future Diary) because Yuno Plus the fact that it's the action requires something other than brute strength to succeed in and how well the final episodes played out. The whole thing was great all over, except for what they did with the main character's Dad

Bleach or Sword Art Online

I ain't for none that ferner shit. You shouldn't be watchin that, son.

Gundam. Good action, good soundtrack, likeable characters, giant robots. what more could a guy want?
-
1 ReplyAngel Beats! It has action, is funny, and is emotionally pulling all in a small 13 episode package. How can you beat that?

4 RepliesEdited by Sesto: 8/6/2013 1:54:01 AMThought I had posted in this thread before... guess not. My absolute favourite would be Code Geass. Characters, plot, music, etc, all of it is good. The pic attached has my 8 other favourites.

Cardcaptor Sakura. And you mostly all have shit taste, by the way.

Akira. I first saw Akira aged 9 and it blew my tiny mind. It's a benchmark anime title and a truly excellent film. I couldn't find anything wrong with it if I tried.

It changes often, and normally there isn't just one. Right now it's Usagi Drop because Rin is cuter than anything, and I want her to be my daughter. And the other is Shinsekai yori (From the New World) because the story is very good (In my opinion), I love the music, and the action is pretty entertaining.

ITS A ROBOT. WITH SUNGLASSES. In all reality Gurren Lagann will always and forever be my favorite, The music, story and characters (not to mention the animation) are all well thought out and awesome.

Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop.

Shakugan no Shana got really boring a lot of the time for me. Death Note is probably number1 for me.
-
Full metal alchemist
-
I want to say Hellsing, but I don't think they ever got around to finishing it. So, I'd have to go with Death Note or Legend of Korra.
-
There are so many to choose from >.< so many great anime out there

1 ReplyThe nisemonogatari part of the monogatari series' is up there. Death Note was my first one from a while back, so (me being a nostalgia whore) I have to go with that.

4 RepliesAt this point, xxxHolic (no, it's not what you think it is). I love this anime because it was the first I ever saw, but there's more to it than that. It feels nostalgic in a mysterious way, even freaky at times (summer house episode), like when I was a kid and everything surprised me or there was some new depth in a situation I had not comprehended yet. It's stories don't have much action, but there's still a sense of awe and finality about each that is fulfilled by the characters. The characters are interesting and I can't help but lose myself in the world because of them. Second favorite is either Avatar TLAB, or Darker Than Black (both of which have fantastic action sequences)
