High impact pulses are way too strong

Fun fact about high impact pulse rifles:without a damage perk their ttk is .67! You know what else has a .67 ttk when you land all headshots? Aggressive and lightweight SMGs as well as rapid fire and lightweight sidearms. Eriana’s vow(a special weapon) and Suros regime(fully spun up) do as well! Not only that high impact pulses over all have way more range than any of these weapons without counting the exotics listed. It’s ridiculous they’ve gone on like this for so long.

  • Making the argument something is too strong and then providing 4 other sub-families of weapons that have the same TTK is a self-defeating argument. But hey apparently hand cannons are still OP too according to this forum so sounds like we've got options! 🤷‍♂️

      • 0.73s - Aggressive Pulses. 0.67s - Box Breathing Scouts. 0.7s - Fang of Ir Yut with Precision Instrument Lots of weapons kill at 0.8s. Some weapons kill faster than that when a target has low resiliance. The point is that lots of weapons kill fast, all within fractions of a second of each other. What makes high-impact pulses special?

        • One archetype is always going to be too strong untill Bungie starts buffing , instead of taking the easy way out and nerfing the strongest thing High Impact Pulses, with the exception of Messenger and No Time, were always considered trash because of there stability and low aim assist But because every other option, autos, scouts, smgs have been nerfed , they are standing out If they nerfed High Impact Pulses, you would probably go back to posting about Autos

          • They really annoy me, but for some reason I’m terrible with them. (That’s probably part of the reason why they annoy me so much lol…) I always end up with an extra body-shot or missing one, and 3-bursting with them kinda stinks. Maybe it’s issues with my dead-zones affecting minor recoil control…

            • Elsie’s Rifle needs a nerf. Kill Clip and Keep Away is way too strong on something that can already one burst across the map. Only one saying no to this are Pulse Rifle Dads.

              • Sounds like there’s lots of options with the ttk. Can’t possibly be broken if there’s not one, not two, not 3 but four you’ve listed here. Maybe…. You just don’t like that weapon archetype

                  • .67 all the way across the stage in two trigger pulls is probably too much. I don't particularly care for the playstyle they require. There's been a lot of improvement in PvP but sometimes with the standing there I'll come to and realize that 30 seconds has passed where I was doing nothing but daydreaming. And the overall hesitancy that they contribute to might have something to do with that. Its also probably important to be honest about why those guns are like that and when they became like that for that same reason.

                    • They kind of do nothing if they can't 2 burst tho. As long as it's 6 crit standard and 5c1b with Headseeker, I think they're fine
