When was the last time our top pve players did one wearing all blues 🤔 I remember when top pve players would take pride in doing gms solo wearing all blues or in teams but since the difficulty increase I haven't seen one vid since ,every vid now shows top pve players relying real hard on the meta.
I ask this due to players say the difficulty increase and bullet sponges ruined the game an the fact our top pve players arnt doing runs wearing all blues an only using the meta kind of proves the difficulty increase was tweaked too much.
Or am I wrong and are there plenty of solo runs wearing all blues that arnt 2 to 5yr old?

Can you even do that? I though blues only went to 1750 power?
-
The thing is, every bit of the game got more difficult, EXCEPT GM's, they did not touch them.
-
Gms have only got easily over the years…. Before 100 res etc …

2 RepliesGMs have always been terrible content. They were designed to be watched, not played. Then even the "top tier" who were doing them to be watched found that wasn't worth it, so Bungie changed them into loot pinatas and they've only gone downhill since. Now with builds and subclass changes, it's spam abilities and stomp through until you find something that can one shot you through all the garbage, plink it down or find a way to avoid/cheese/ignore it. Using blues just makes the latter happen more often which is boring to watch and boring to play. People solo GMs. No one cares anymore.

Difficulty increase in GMs???? Whatever your smoking I’ll have two of them
-
Who’d have thought, not being able to do what is meant to be one of the hardest PvE end game activities in bad gear. Do you hear yourself? GMs have been nerfed into oblivion since they came out so I don’t know where all of this ‘they’re harder’ came from. Surely it makes sense that to do the hardest thing, you have to wear the best gear no?
-
Rylee Reloaded did "every dungeon solo flawless with white gear" 😂🙈 that would be the equivalent to washing your hands with a cheese grater
-
I’m one of those people who has lost interest in this game as a result of the increased difficulty changes but I don’t think GMs are in a bad place. They can be tough (which is good) but not so difficult that they can’t be reasonably farmed. Granted, some are less fun the play than others (*cough* Heist Battlegrounds *cough* *cough*) but that’s another issue altogether.
-
5 Replieswhat’s the hardest GM this season, in your opinion at least doing that with all blues will make me long onto the game
-
you are basically describing the problem they had that they then fixed, sort of. gms were pushovers. now a little less so. and that's good.
-
"GMs are so easy"while having so many perks making that player able to do it. Look how it's suddenly impossible when bungie kick the crutch and you get a video complaining about it

They used to be done for the challenge, now they’re just done to farm rewards.

4 RepliesGm difficulty was not changed. Bungie just increased the difficulty mostly for low an mid content.
-
It’s not any harder beating them wish trash weapons, it just wastes more time. And with the introductions of the mistake that was battlegrounds GM it would take an insane amount of time.
-
Because previous gms were all about matching modifiers and picking off enemies. Ever since the introduction of battlegrounds and infinite ads, the game pushes you to kill more ads and get risky. Theres a reason why players have no problem soloing devils lair. Find a nice glitch spot, and pick off ads until the waves is over. It makes for boring content of peaking your head out on occasion. Where is the push to get risky? Just abuse those solar wells.
-
Thats like saying raids are too hard because i cant solo them with blue weapons only.
-
10 RepliesThe difficulty change and bullet sponge push everyone to have a proper build. It wouldn't be correct if you go full blues in GMs.. And also blues have been sunset in someway
-
GM difficulty wasn't affected with the difficulty changes in Lightfall. They are the same as they've ever been. If anything, they made them "easier" with the removal of match game and the addition of surges.
-
It is because of battlegrounds , no-one likes to do them . Last week it was devils lair GM and i saw the one solo devils GM video after the other on all subclasses . This week is a battleground and next week is lightblade ... I don't think people will do those at the end of the season .
-
I honestly don’t think it’s because of difficulty, I think it’s more like so many of these GMs are “solved” for high level players that the difference between a solo run with god roll meta weapons and blues is merely time and is no longer as impressive as it used to be. Abilities do so much work now after all the 3.0s and Strand that the rest of it is just matching your weapons for the champs, which isn’t an interesting enough challenge to justify doing.

Edited by pallwizzy: 11/12/2023 5:02:46 PMFrom what I've heard the answer boils down to the fact that its not super different than a normal run just slower and with d2 not uber popular there just isn't enough of an audience for content like that to make it worth while.

1 ReplyIf you wanna see these kinda challenges Check out "Rylee Reloaded" The time and effort put into his personal challenges is mind boggling and he somehow manages to keep his sanity. (kinda)
-
I don’t know why they don’t do that anymore, maybe it just doesn’t get as much attention as it used to?
-
Gm difficulty has not increased chief. What gave you that idea?
-
2 RepliesCrutchers gonna crutch. 🩼 You’re a scrub if you don’t run all blues.

2 RepliesThe reason you're asking this is because... you want an adept bow and can't get a clear. Something to do with that, am I right? I promise I'm not trolling. I'm not hating on you, It's one of the hardest GMs... so here's my advice to you or anyone. Play heroic... get a normal drop, then farm the Vanguard playlist for engrams and then focus for it. Adept mods aren't going to change the quality of this bow hardly at all, nor the stat boost. There's not a ton of perks in the pool, so you're likely to great a great bow in 10 engrams or less. If you have a ton of Legendary Shards, there's no reason not to. I'm doing it... even though I got both the god rolls I wanted, I want to test some other rolls... and focusing is the best way to do that. And it will be in rotation next season with a different GM. That unless it's Lightblade, will be easier.
