You used to be cool Bungie - PvP feedback

Hello Guardians! I'm creating this post because lately i'm feeling that PvP is not enjoyable or rewarding anymore. We all remember those days back in Halo (1, 2 or 3) when everything seems to be fair and competitive. And after that, Bungie decided to create a new game called Destiny which the main idea was to create a "better game" or a "better experience" in an RPG world for everyone. But right now with current META for Destiny 2, and specifically talking about PvP. It just feel like they forgot everything we used to enjoy... - For example: If you go right now to any PvP game (Control, Elimination, Trials) you will notice that everyone will be using the OP stuff that require no brain for you to kill anyone. Like : - Fusion Rifles feels like they have unlimited range that can kill you from miles away - Exotic Helmet that provides you a passive to One Shot kill anyone with no effort. - Every guardian has always an overshield. - And don't forget all the pain we all been through when they released the Stasis class. It seems like everyone working in Bungie don't care of PvP anymore and they just want to reward every New Light player to feel they are at the same level compared with players that have Years playing and growing in this game. Listen Bungie: - We don't need your "Airborne" stat - Why penalize people that knows how to aim in the air? - We need more PvP maps - We use to have more maps in Halo 2 - Stop taking out and re-release the same maps we used to play If you really love your community learn from: FromSoftware company. I know its a completly different type of game, but see the point... They created the Dark Souls saga and the Souls-like category and this kind of games are known to be very Difficult, a game designed for people to learn from their mistakes and become better and better each time. But when they released Elden Ring, they preserved their style, the feeling, the gameplay with same difficulty but now in a completly, improved and exiting Open world. They knew that the people that loved their previous titles, would be the same people that will buy this game and you know what happend? Now Elden Ring is one of the best rated played games... But did they forget about their origins? NO!!! Because even with the constant pressure from the casual players requesting FromSoftware to create/add a lower difficulty for them, They decided to keep their essence and give their community the type of game they have been loving for years!!! But due the fact that the game received a lot of great scores and because it is a great title. New people decided to give it another try and some of them are enjoying the same way all the previous Dark Souls player felt the first time. I'm not sure if Bungie will read this... I'm not sure if people will be agreed with me on this... The only thing i will suggest is: Don't forget your Veteran/Competitive players Because many of them are leaving or will leave soon due the lack of improvement. And the new players you are trying to bring, will left you as well due the game is not fun or challenging anymore. You used to be cool Bungie, and I loved your games Please do something before we all endend up leaving

      • We need new maps and less one shot kills. We need to go back to gun play, shotgun play. I believe less is more when it comes to the crucible.

Until worthwhile pve comes to this game I’ll be on Splitgate as a much much better pvp experience. My teammates can actually win fights and shoot there gun unlike this game it’s so refreshing I’m like why even Que up in this game anymore?

pvp is ruin by [redacted] and [redacted] users playing on mouse and keyboard on the console. I hope bungie will find a way to separate these guys from legit players.
Moderator edit: removed the name sites, no need to give them advertising.
• Bungie will never to be able to please the pvp crowd no matter how hard they try. D2 at the start was balanced yet pvp cried about all the team shooting. They release go fast update. Guess what pvp cried again that guns were killing them too quick. An then here comes the long list of nerfs.

PvP hasn't been enjoyable, let alone rewording for some for years. Copy and paste work doesn't seem to create incentive, and I'm laughing that Bungie hasn't caught on, but at the same time? Most of you accept the poor development and you will still play it regularly in spite of your complaints or how bad it gets. Me, I do my weekly engrams once in a while and bounce out of that disaster.
We all remember those days back in Halo (1, 2 or 3) when everything seems to be fair and competitive. You might want to let the truth set in that this is not Bungie from back then. Most that had a say that cared about creating a quality type of game left this company. You're dealing with people that don't play their own game, that just work there for a paycheck, not to create a game.

Bungie's engine is old and from 2004. It is the engine they used for Halo back in the day. It can't load up much content without completely crashing. Don't believe me, then answer this question. Why when they did the Destiny Content Vault did they take away over 10 crucible maps all at the same time? Most of those maps were NOT vaulted planets. So why did they remove them? I was reading real ex employees reviews. There is so many complaints about how old and outdated their tools/engine is. One ex employee describes how "to move a pillar 2 metres, he had to leave the engine loading overnight when he got home, praying it didn't crash again for when he comes back in the morning to finally move the pillar". And that instead of just upgrading, Bungie is too stubborn and stuck on their ways. They instead just take the many days of fighting with the engine and tools as time to add between DLCs and they rather just lower the quality of the next DLC due to how hard the work with the engine is. Asking Bungie for new PVP maps is useless. First you should ask for the maps they already took away back. Which honestly was 14 maps if I remember correctly and the Tangled Shore gambit map and The Dreaming City gambit map. The engine literally can't handle anything more. That is why they have to Vault stuff everytime they ever add stuff. Aka to do Witch Queen they had to remove Tangled Shore and Forsaken campaign. As for the O.P. weapons it is getting annoying. Piece of Mind has been the most used weapon across all of Crucible for weeks and Bungie hasn't bothered to ever mention future nerfs to it. It's -blam!- annoying. At least when Vex Mythoclast was the broken top teir, you were being rewarded for your hard work to get it. But Piece of Mind is a random drop that drops like 960 times in a day .

Just because they are called Bungie and have Halo as a past project doesn’t mean they have the same people who worked on it. Its the whole idea that if you replace a plank of wood on a boat enough times do you really still have the same boat you started with or a new one entirely.

                • Honestly, I think enough players just need to quit the game. Bungie themselves have said they want the game they want. They don't care about the community. They are looking at political stuff in America instead of working on this game. Bungie wants to celebrate nerfing stompees. Whether or not the nerf was needed. I've never seen a dev hate on another class just because they don't like it themselves if that makes sense. I get the game is addicting but we as a community have to take a stand and say this is unacceptable. It's not cool that they don't listen to us and are being selfish. We have better games to play. So let's just play those until bungie not only apologizes, but actually fixes things in this game

The problem is the community managers. They’re tasked with relaying feedback. They’re all buddy/ star struck over a few sub par streamers, they actively search Twitter just to respond to “streamer tweets “ . They plan trials cards with these select few, their interesting in clout chasing, hey look I’m cool I played with gjake or hey I’m raiding with gladd. Their motto is 🖕🏼pay me

                      • Bungie already mentioned why there is reduced in air accuracy. It's because if there isn't any, everyone just jumps or flies around to shoot. They play tested it, so don't expect that one to change....
