Nothing more than a gut feeling but when the Traveller did the swoop on him like a hoover, I would think instead of ending the existence of a being.
. . .
He/she/it would instead put him through a series of trials and visions until the consciousness that is Ghaul, understands the Travller's point of view!
Just a thought.

I mean I can see a Mass Effect type of ending to the Destiny story, where we rally everyone
-
Choosing to add another fighter to the fight? Maybe. That would also shift the Traveler and Oryx into a similar category though. Do you really want to go down the road of why guardians have amnesia and why Taken are tortured and then forced to fight?

7 RepliesWho is Dominus Ghaul? Beyond Light removed any previous memory I had of the game and since then I cannot recollect who this guy is. Was he a guardian? I sometimes hear Hawthorne mention him too, about how I took him out, but I simply cannot remember anything that happened before Beyond Light released. It must be amnesia brought on by content vaulting.

But... he go boom. I saw it with my own eyes

I got a crit with my nighthawk he dead and he ain't coming back

13 RepliesHe is dead. He was a nightmare. Nightmares are beings we killed. Ghaul was a voice in the presage mission. Everything points to him being dead. No gut feeling. Bungie has proved that he is dead. Any voice that was heard in the presage mission that came from the entity is dead. Ghoul is one of them.

1 ReplyIt would be interesting, humorous, and ironic if the Traveler Red Skulled him in Lightfall.
-
He’s very dead.
-
If he was erased from the game he's dead...
-
1 ReplyNo one is dead. It was all a dream. Bobby Ewing.

6 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 6/29/2021 3:23:31 PMHis consciousness might be alive, but he’s physically dead. The Traveller vaporized that SOB.

Edited by StrikeWave: 6/30/2021 10:46:21 PMImagine thanos having visions after he get snap lmao
-
That'd be nice...such a waste of potential with his death
-
Why? The Traveler has let trillions die over the eons. Why would it care about Ghaul like that?
-
Yep, he's dead, I killed him!
-
Nobody is dead in this game because they will try to copy/paste and make you redo the same content again 5+ years later.
-
What the traveler couldn’t do Bungie sure did. Ghaul is gone
-
that would be an idea to push the idea of the traveler being a creature of good, to spare his life
