People may talk shit on streamers/ youtubers but at the end of the day a huge amount of hype and interest come from them and what do 90% of them play? Pvp. You think them along with others are going to stick around to play the same repetitive pve content over and over with zero end goal? Go back to shooting your thrall and stay off the forums.

I thought a month or so ago they said that PVP would get some love. That was said, wasn't it? For there to be NOTHING added to PVP in over multiple seasons seems a bit off.

Its because they know for a fact ANY new pvp content people would cry about it. I'm all for a PvP themed season. Getting tired of "New Seasons" being another firefight mode, to get a new type of currency, to upgrade something little by little every week, to get a little bit of story.

At the very least no new maps at this point is pretty insulting. The vaporwave-y looking stuff this upcoming season would be amazing for a new one. Something Europa-themed would be easy too. It's really concerning how little they are supporting PvP right now. Gambit is the same way... practically abandoned despite being core playlist elements. Sure, these are free to play activities, but like, they don't have to be. Build it into season passes as needed.

3 RepliesAs someone who doesn't play PvP I'll say, you know what I think the biggest problem with destiny PvP is (and it's not maps or trials), it's that it's basically the same 2/3 modes for the last 3 years. They killed off rift and so it's basically just either hold A/B/C or some form of Slayer. If Bungie could introduce FUN modes like griffball, infection, regicide, oddball, etc it would breath so much life into the game's PvP.

Because crucible is free to play. You’re too broke to buy full games and content, but you think they’re going to roll out maps for you? They literally made these things free to play because no one wants to play them. Your issue isn’t with bungie, it’s with your pockets.

I agree with you man but i think pvp content will always be limited from now on because it is free to play and no monetization opportunities for bungie to capitalize on it, so they are limiting resources that go into crucible. Its easy to see with trials not getting a better loot system or just no new maps. It does suck they wont even give DCV maps or anything .

Why should they bother? All people do is complain. "I hate destiny cause I keep being killed by *insert meta weapon here* every time" Destiny is a PVE game primarily. If PvP is only your bag, I suggest you go somewhere else.
