3 RepliesUhhh how about we don't make them rarer? Mean seriously some of us aren't having some amazing luck of getting exotics. Some of us have literally no luck world drop wise before we even talk about luck getting the exotic armor piece you want and a good stat roll of what you want.

I do not play hunter at all and I just have every single hunter exotic and I don’t even realize that until I made a hunter for the first time and checked out the armor. Working and grinding for exotics? Had all the world drops after a week. And Bungie is going in the way of most if not all exotics being tied to a guaranteed quest so everyone just gets the gun if they want it. One of the lesser talked about angles is balancing. An exotic could be less balanced if not a lot of players had it because it couldn’t be meta. Thorn was so strong in year 1 D1 because so few players had it. As it grew more common over time, the gun had to be toned down. Knowing that most players will have an exotic, it needs to be uniform with pve and PvP balancing. I miss the days of exotics being very powerful. Granted, there were times where Bungie went too far like with the mythoclast, but I preferred exotics being rare. It gave them more power, and it was actually prestigious of a player to have a gun. It was once prestigious of a player to have an exotic gun. Let that sink in. People who didn’t play D1 won’t even process what that means.

1 ReplyThat's what I loved about vanilla D1. There was always the exotics to collect and only 15 solid chances per reset. The pursuit of loot has gone and we have instant gratification (a few lengthy quests aside). And whilst the taken king was excellent content, I absolutely loathed 3 of coins. Cue the "just don't use them". Well that's like putting a delicious hot pizza in front of someone who is trying to lose weight. It took me 62 clears of normal crota to get black hammer and I loved every reset day. Make loot rare again.

Exotics were rare during forsaken . And it was awful. There was no way of actually trying to earn the exotic I wanted I just had to wait until my luck rolled in. No thanks.

I agree, ever since forsaken exotics have been way easier to get than a good legendary. Quests exotics are the most boring thing ever with how common they are now.

the only way that would work out is if bungie put armour rerolling for exotics, and we all know that wont happen. iv been farming for a good roll on nezeracs sin, for over a year and have recieved 1 decent roll but its mostly mobility and i want recovery so its trash for me.
