I for the longest time after destiny 1's launch i was largely in agreement with you on a lot of your points and views. I loved pve but couldn't stomach pvp and wanted it removed entirely. That was until trials of osiris began and the awesome gear to chase got me hooked. Since then through the rest of destiny 1's and 2's lives I've primarily enjoyed pvp as it's the activity I find to be constantly refreshing and challenging with arguably the best rewards to grind for. Pvp has kept me interested for a long time as pve for me feels stale. You're entitled to enjoy the game how you like but without pvp, I and a number of others would find little to keep us grinding.
