Should gunslingers timer let you shoot until it runs out ?

Unlike the other hunter classes gunslingers timer is pretty short and only get the 3 shots. Should it be treated more like hammers where every shot depletes some of the super instead of the 3 shots. Hammers are basically a one hit kill unless you have high armor, and warlocks get to spam grenades so why do you guys think hunters are limited to time when you can run around and Chuck 5 Hammers and 6 fusion grenades ? Let me know your guys opinion in the comment section. P.S. all love no negativity, just a question

  • It should be the same mechanic as a sunbreaker's hammers. But I like the only have 3 shots thing(4 if you have an exotic hunter helm that favors the gunslinger), it really puts the player up to a challenge to land all 3 shots.

  • I don't know the exact number for Sunsingers, but for Sunbreakers, we only get 5 hammers per super. If you use forgemaster, 7. This is if you are spamming the trigger as fast as you can. We get a limited number too, it just works differently. The reason HoS gets more hammers to throw than Golden Gun gets shots, is because hammers have travel speed and arc to the throw. Golden Gun operates on hit scan, which means no travel time. It has laser perfect accuracy, so no arc. And massive hit boxes. The only thing Golden Gun needs, is a faster activation animation and longer time in super. No extra shots.

      NO that would incredibly stupid, they could pop it at the beginning of the round,and make sure every shot hit for two minutes straight I main hunter

    • No. Titan hammers are incredibly inconsistent now compared to the golden gun, which can kill cross-map. It's a great super, in most hands it's a guaranteed 2-3 kill super.

    • Gunslinger is a lot easier to aim than hammer of sol or fusion grenades. If I could fire six shots before it was over........... my god...... So, no. that would be crazy.

      • Gunslinger has virtually infinite range and straight line shots. That is its advantage over grenades and hammers. As a Warlock, I wouldn't mind if they gave you guys a slightly longer time to fire or modified the timer to work like hammers. However, no additional shots or armor. Also, please don't compare Gunslinger to the now worthless Sunsingers. They broke our DoT, our Firebolt, and our Flame Shield. We got jack shit in return PvPwise. Other than self-res, that subclass is generic crap. Self res, sticky grenades and a Warlock range punch. That is the entire subclass.

        • No... Every class has a super than can be spammed for the duration of the meter that has the potential to clear out an entire 6 man fireteam, one that can be used in a short burst to kill 2 or 3 enemies, and one that is designed for support... If longevity is what you are looking for on a hunter, then I would suggest you try arc blade...

          • I felt like if it allows us to shoot like 4 or 5 times, instead of 3 as a standard, it'll be bit better. I'm well aware that there is one of the helmet, namely Achlyophage Symbiote, that allows to have an extra shot but still.

          • No and for one reason. GG is basically a hitscan move. There's virtual no travel time associated with the shot.

            Coming from a Hunter main who currently plays three Hunters and more or less always as GS; I think it's pretty much fine at it is. The only thing I'd change would be the timer when using symbiote - perhaps add a couple of [u]seconds [/u]to that. Now, tripmine on the other hand.....wasnt that an uncalled for nerf? If you cant see tripmines you have a medical problem and need to get your eyes checked.

              No, coming from a gunslinger. You have 3 shots that one shot someone each, and reliably hitting these shots are easy due to the hits can and lack of travel time. I'm not also including the incredible aim assistance with it. In comparison to hammer of sol, however, hammer of sol is less reliable, and many Titans can't hit targets in air due to its travel time and drop. At least, that's how I've always countered them. In comparison to radiance, these grenades aren't a one shot kill each and the one grenade that does has travel time and drop.

                Yeah I've always thought this ever since they added sunbreakers into the game, because if you think about it hammers do more damage than golden gun and on top of that you get six to seven hammers. And also I noticed that sometimes golden gun shots don't even register why hammers always do

                  People really still ask this?? Please be smart. Stop using the other supers to compare. GG is a very different super. It's very obvious why things like timer and number of shots are limited compared to other supers.
