Should bungie go back to CBMM?
And I mean entirely CBMM. No SBMM AT ALL. Frankly, I don't understand why I am being punished for being good at the game. The matchmaking is so messed up right now that it's not fun for good players, bad players, or even average players. It is fun for no one. Bungie you do realize that this games pvp was much better at launch than it is now right? Why are you so scared to revert changes? Stop worrying about your pride which you have already soiled and make your game fun again!

All they did was increase the skill priority and change the metrics by which that is measured in other crucible modes. That combined with a precipitous drop in population and bug prone netcode at the mercy of shit p2p connections and you have the failure that is the current sbmm for high skill players. For casuals it works fine. The answer is simply dedicated servers. Casuals don't want to be stomped and elites want stable matches. The two are not reconcilable with the current system and the population is too small to separate playlists into ranked and casual. It didn't work in halo the casual playlist never had a sustainable population

There are many factors in the match making system .....the priority is what matters Bungie is not going to do anything but try and support NEW sales..... I don't think anything will change until last gen is fully left behind..... Or destiny 2 release N then they will get dedicated servers And then keep SBMM I prefer balance and like the challenge if CBMM when u get skill level outside your own

1 Replyproblem is the lack of dedicated servers Doesn't take a genius cheater to realize that with the current P2P setup, you would be better off with CBMM since you could get matched with good connection and then kick in the lag if things were not going your way since you would be more likely to get the maximum advantage against good connection players. SBMM works with dedicated servers CBMM works with dedicated servers both are broken in different ways when you rely on mid 90's networking tech for an ONLINE ONLY game released in 2014

1 ReplyHow about both? Match up similarly skilled players but prioritize good connection. It might take longer but I'd suffer longer search times if it meant a quality matchup.
