I'm a casual Destiny PvP player; there are a lot of acronyms and other lingo that I'm not very familiar with.
However
I understand what teabagging is and I interpret it as essentially saying "F*** you"
I think it's highly unsportsmanlike. I know, I know, all people aren't the nicest players.
I just do NOT understand people who teabag after a game and then message 'GG' immediately afterwards. Sometimes with a smiley face.
Wtf is that?
That's like beating someone in a chess match, flipping the table and then your opponent with a prominent finger in the face, then extending your sweaty arm for a congratulatory handshake.
Am I the only one confused by this??

I do this. I tbag all the time. Doesn't mean I'm trying to assert myself above you. I just do it cuz it's funny. If it's a good game, I will still send you gg.

5 RepliesThe GG is them trying to rub salt in the wounds, it's not them trying to be sportsman like. And the reason is because it's almost always a squeaker or some immature douche who just turned 20 or 21. Unfortunately their parents haven't taught them anything about respect or how to have class. But on the other side of the coin, teabagging can be considered psychological warfare. Making the opponent angry and will result in them making poor or rash decisions. ( I understand your talking about at the end of a game so this scenarios doesn't really apply. Unless you are doing a series of game like in trials ) But unfortunately teabagging isn't going any where anytime soon. So I guess either just get used to it and let it go........
or go all BAMF on their b!tch ass and tea bag them back! \(^o^)/
2 RepliesHeed no mind to barbarians that lack common decency.

2 RepliesIt's not teabagging it's t-bagging
-
Tea bagging is life. I do it every kill no matter win or loose. :D some times I tea bag and get killed by the enemy :D

You have ascended past the mindset of a thirteen year old boy, join me in this Nirvana

4 RepliesI wish there was a stealth-implemented mechanic where after your opponent does 2 crouches on your dead body, you could detonate your corpse.
-
ooooooooooooooo super hooters are on tv tonight.
-
One time I threw a hammer and made a sunspot so this idiot on the other team decides to teabag my teammate right on top of my sunspot. He died
-
1 ReplyThe most satisfying kills are killing the idiot that took the time to t-bag my dead teammate. I hope they continue to do it... it is just too fun taking advantage of stupidity.
-
2 RepliesWhy are people so triggered by Teabagging, but simultaneously cool with a sarcastic or cheeky, "-blam!- you" style emote? The inconsistency of you plebes is astonishing. Then there's that whole crowd of, "you teabagged me first". Careful not to fall off your high horse. If you think it's douchey, fine. Just acknowledge then that emoting following a kill is equally as douchey. But if you don't think emotes are douchey or unsportsmanlike, then you should acknowledge the fact that teabagging functions similarly and is therefore not always unsporting. I hate when idiots circle jerk about how moralistic and superior they are without having any rooted value system. Looking down on others without having a goddamn clue what they stand for.

When the hell did "gg" go from meaning "good game" to "git gud"? Been a gamer since the late 70's, and it's always been "good game". If you wanted to insult someone, it was always the tried and true "you suck!".
-
Its simple mind game and reverse psychology... Don't let it get to you
-
The thing I don't get about t-bagging is when you're in red, when you're in the bottom half of your team, and when your team loses. "Yes, you ended my kill spree by launching a fist of panic, I think that was actually your only kill. I guess that deserves a t-bag....?" I just wish they'd actually add a GG emote.
-
I think you mean, the up and down dance

Edited by Swiftlock: 6/28/2016 9:18:48 PM
I understand what teabagging is and I interpret it as essentially saying "F*** you"
Nah. It's more like... "I just kicked your ass and now I'm asserting dominance over you in the hopes that you take the bait and make a silly forum post about it." The GG was just there to drive the message home.
-
The whole point is to make you angry or confused. (It's working)
-
Die kill them all its worse in trials when they dance on you I swear ive broke over 3 xbox pads because of it
-
6 RepliesAnybody that t bags likes to place their Wang in another man's mouth.
-
Sounds like something a Hunter would do.
-
Sour patch players
-
Why would you T-bag when there are so many good emotes in the game? "Congratulations" after killing a panic dancer with a sidearm is so much more satisfying than spamming crouch like a monk
-
I teabag purely because it gets people mad for no reason. It literally doesn't mean anything. I think it's funny if I get bagged. However if you had a good game I may message you and tell you regardless of getting bagged or doing the bagging.
