Thorn
Just stop plz bungie.... every time I try to play Elimination practicing for trials I have to deal with a thorn. Most of the time a whole team of them. Please throw that sh** away or nerf the 3 bullets it takes to kill you. The poison is just insane on it. It needs a NERF .lol if you want to respond high kd low kd doesn't matter I'd love to hear your thoughts : 3 I'll respond as much as I can . Please check my stats before calling me a rookie Note* This weapon does 3 shot kill on body shots and this weapon Does in fact 2 shot in the head ♡ The Dot needs a Nerf or it at least needs to not stack ._. If you can't see that your an idiot plain and simple lol don't like it go use it on trials.

15 RepliesIt's a 3 shot headshot, TLW is a 3 shot headshot but faster, Hawkmoon is a 3 shot headshot possibly 2. All exotic handcannon are in similar damage categories. If you get hit to the head with 3 thorn shots and don't die immediately the DoT will burn you out within 2 seconds or less. What I'm saying is you're going to die either way.

Thorn ...... I hate thorn , but its not terribly unbalanced . It is however , unbalanced , because it rewards inaccurate shooting i.e 3 body shots . The dot also means that getting shot puts you out of the fight for ages as you can't start recovery. The dot is annoying as hell, but a great exotic perk. That's why I suggest removing the damage and just have it stop recovery , putting back I to the same body shots to kill as other handcannons of that archetype . Another possible solution is just have the dot applied only to headshots , bringing back a reward to skilled shooting .

Couldn't resist, I'm a 0.6 k/d and enjoy both pve and pvp. Also, I value my own opinion highly. Lag and cheaters bother me WAY more than thorn.......of course I'm only a 0.6

When I got the bounty for thorn it was surprising. I got it back when I just had ny hunter and Warlock. I got it on my hunter and it was hard af getting those void kills because I only had my void THE COMEDIAN. Everything before that was nerfed in year one was done right, it mainly was for pve purposes so people couldn't cheat or cheese things. Now everything is nerfed based off of PvP obsessed crybabies. It has an EXOTIC perk, it's EXOTIC. Besides most medium to higher impact handcannons can three shot opponents. Stop crying and get better. It's not that the weapon is too good, or OP. It is however like the mida overused a bit, this is due to the "meta" this community is so good at creating. No one wants to be unique, they want to be the best. And using those tools is the only way they know how. All these people using the meta type weapons are people from game where you can only pick loadouts or find weapons on the map. We need more diversity, and people demanding that everything be brought to an equal level is what is destroying this games community. So just stop. I won't reply, my point is made. Your argument is invalid. I don't care what you say to "argue" your point because you have none.

The only problem with Thorn right now is the ability to 3shot with only body shots. There is no reward for precision aiming, which is what handcannons are supposed to be known for. There are a couple ways to balance Thorn to reward headshots over spraying body shots, so chances are Bungie will nerf Thorn again.

5 RepliesThe fact that people still use year one guns is what pisses me off. Just finished a rumble game where the number one guy was using a thorn, matador 64 shotgun (god no), and the BTRD heavy machine gun. The old year 1 meta around house of wolves, and I hated it with a passion.

1 ReplyI'm laughing so hard at you guys and your whining post about Thorn. I love how it has resurfaced even though now it's such a tamed version of what it used to be. This weapon is nothing compared to what we used and were killed with in year one. I guess it doesn't matter what weapons are available . Someone will complain about everything . Oh, and after reading your post; I'm guessing 15-16 years of age which seems to be the average age of the Nerf bandits and their mighty steed "Whinerella". Oh and you need to work on your slight of hand hand technique. You can't say that "it's not that your opinion doesn't matter", followed with " but you don't know what your talking about". It's like calling someone a whore and then smiling about it as if that makes up for the statement.

Isn't the 2 shot to head only with low armor? Other than that I've seen it take 2 headshots with a body or as stated before 3 body shots.

5 RepliesThorn is a three shot no matter what, it is not a 2 shot headshot anymore so stop your bitching. They already nerfed thorn so it is a very balanced hand cannon, it's one of the only exotics that actually feels exotic.
