Thorn
Just stop plz bungie.... every time I try to play Elimination practicing for trials I have to deal with a thorn. Most of the time a whole team of them. Please throw that sh** away or nerf the 3 bullets it takes to kill you. The poison is just insane on it. It needs a NERF .lol if you want to respond high kd low kd doesn't matter I'd love to hear your thoughts : 3 I'll respond as much as I can . Please check my stats before calling me a rookie Note* This weapon does 3 shot kill on body shots and this weapon Does in fact 2 shot in the head ♡ The Dot needs a Nerf or it at least needs to not stack ._. If you can't see that your an idiot plain and simple lol don't like it go use it on trials.

Now...I have played this game since release and have put up with that gun for MONTHS as it wreaked havoc in the crucible and its really a double edged sword because I love hand cannons and I want them to be better, but on the other hand as soon as you make hand cannons better as a whole the Thorn starts to stand out. Its a good gun...I f*cking hate it, but its will always be a thing I think. Basically I'm saying that you are wasting your time with this post because nothing is going to happen unfortunately...but I feel you...trust me.

17 Repliessince the start of year 2 i have run into an amount of thorns i can count on one hand. i have never died to one or its poison in year 2. clearly you suck. it is balanced and gives you an equal chance of killing them since they have to land 3 body shots before they can start to run.

2 RepliesYou have no idea how horrible that gun was when it was first acquired. And yes my KD is below 1.0 and yes I play more PVE than PVP but that doesn't matter. Something you don't seem to understand alongside a lot of PVP players is that the nerfs that come because of PVP affect those in PVE as well. I still pull out thorn to do some of the old content and patrols. This doesn't just apply to thorn though. All the nerfs that apply to any gun cross over and I am absolutely sick of some of my favorite weapons being nerfed into the ground because people can't adapt. We stil have our opinions and we do matter. As for your other arguments, it has almost always preformed like this and has been left mostly unchanged for a while, excluding the nerf to range and extra ammo all hand cannons got. The DOT does not stack on thorn, the DOT is still going and the multiple shots does enough damage to bring you low enough to die from the DOT. Just understand what you are talking about before you begin to call for nerfs. People complain about thorn because the other weapons can't challenge thorn in a moderate range fight and people complain about MIDA because it is used so much. MIDA is actually balanced and is used not because it can kill quickly, but because it does everything other than the act of killing faster than other weapons. Understand both sides of the argument and do some research before you call for nerfs on a weapon.

And never will. Don't lie to get attention. Thorn is in a good spot in PvP right now. Quit complaining and learn how to PvP.

Run a ramlock with solar chestpiece and max Armour. Or run a max Armour striker. Three body shots won't kill you if you do this. 1 headshot + 2 body will though

2 RepliesMy kd is 0.9 on my titan and I recently got a 9kd in salvage with defender, at least one of the other team was using thorn, Both my brothers go flawless every week and their kds are 1.0.

35 RepliesFirst off Thorn is fine the way it is. It's already been nerfed, it also can't be used in Trials or IB (technically it can but you won't be as good with it in kills). Secondly people who play pve do have a say so for anything regarding gun nerfs as this effects all portions of the game. Finally, I personally think people who do not have Moments of Triumph completed should have no say so toward the game. Anyways have a good day with your cryfest, I'm off to go burn some more scrubs in crucible with Thorn.

My last match of rumble last night there was a guy using thorn and felwinters lie lol. I wrecked his shit. Thorn is really a non issue anymore dude.

Now that would be stupidly op, more so than it's buffed state. DoT should kill as it is technically a poison and poison generally kills you without an antidote. Plus the perk is called Mark of the Devourer, this is eating away at your life until you are consumed whole by a Thorn shot or eaten in a slow agonizing death. The impact doesn't need a nerf either as using the final round perk can leave you completely open but should be rewarded as you took that chance. What if a second person flanks you? No more shots until you finally finish that reload, and with the current ttk on certain guns that everyone is seeming to use, you'd most likely be dead.

Furthermore the range drop off is especially noticeable with headshot landing at 76 instead of 79 even though the distance isn't that far. Also, you have MIDA 1000 yard and a twilight Garrison equipped so gimme a break.

So maybe my k/d isn't pretty but I don't really care. I play this game for [u]fun[/u]. If something is killing you too much, find a reasonable way to counter it. Don't just come on here and cry to Bungie for a nerf.
