Need some good Headset advice

I had Turtle Beach Xo Sevens and currently have the Stealth 500X. The problem I am having is that both of these headsets have broken. The extenders(not sure what else to call it) have cracked and snapped, causing the ear pieces to dangle and exposing the wire inside the headset. I am not sure why this happens as the lifespan has seemed to be just little less than a year. I guess I have a huge head so the earpieces have to extend a little. I am looking for any advice on what headset I should get that is more durable and affordable, than these turtle beaches, that also have quality sound from them. Can I send these two headsets for repair at turtle beach? Thanks for any advice!

  • High dollar headsets are unnessary. You're chatting, not listening to high definition home theater.

  • I have the turtle beach elite 800s and the exact same thing happened to them. I have had them about a year and sound wise they are perfect, but 2 days ago i put them onand SNAP broke in the same place. I super glued it back together and that seems to have work for now. Im gonna try Sennheisers pc 363d's if this repair doesnt last.

  • HyperX. Under a $100. Corded. I've tried wireless. Got tired of recharging and bad fits. I can wear these for awhile and my ears don't hurt. I can hear everything and everybody can hear me.

  • The absolute best you can get will be a pair of studio headphones and a separate mic.

    • Well first I would recommend calling technical support of turtle beach and ask if the damage is repairable if it is then send it over if not I would also recommend getting headsets other than turtle beaches cause they suck, they are way to sensitive and can get messed up with wiring easily. Are you on ps4? If you are get the PlayStation gold headset I heard it's amazing.
