Stormtrance - the worst super in the game by far.
Pretty underwhelming in PvE but in the Crucible, guaranteed to get you killed because you're not doing much damage and you're a fluttering duck, easy picking for any enemy nearby. This subclass does have one of the best grenades and melees in the game but the super just blows. Really, really, really blows. I've leveled all three classes and give the best supers to Titans by far. Hunter supers are fair at best and, if not for this Stormtrance dog of a super, Warlocks with their Nova Bombs and Radiance would be pretty close to Titans.
I expect the Hammer of Sol to get a nerf at some point but come on Bungie, while you're at it, figure out a way to buff up the Stormtrance and make it actually useful at something other than making you so much easier to kill.

1 ReplyI wouldn't mind arcbolt grenade getting a buff to damage, I feel its just too weak compared to other grenades, (axion bolt, incendiary). But thats just my opinion. I have however done well with stormcaller, but up against HOS I almost always lose

You are pus at warlock if you cant stormtrance. Literally all my 7th columns have been from Stormtrance.

The number if times i wiped a team in trials... and killed the selfres too... and afterwards still have like 10 seconds to dance untill the super finally ends... I wouldnt mind a buff but then it would be more OP than sunbreaker.

If you're dying all the time you aren't using it properly. You can pick up at least 3 or 4 kills per use. And in pve you should have at least half as many kill on top of everyone elses. Funk

Warlocks supers are useless. Always dying and depending on the self Rez, nova bomb? Still alive or hits it on the boss and storm caller not a single orb was contributed.

I mean you can blink while the super is activated, the range is insane and the super lasts forever, only difference is no health regen upon kill but I have to tell you a Bladedancer vs Stormtrance I feel like loses every time, as well as Bladedancer vs HOS (blade loses), and Bladedancer vs golden gun (blade loses usually). Granted Bladedancer was the best super by far in Y1, but Stormcaller and HOS changed the game and made Y1 warlock and Titan classes look like shit in comparison. Idk that's just my experience in Y2 so far.

2 RepliesI think stormtrance is good in PVE but only against groups of small enemies. In PVP I have had lots of times shutting down stormtrance, but not against sunbreaker titans ever.
