As someone who also MAINS a hunter, I think Sun breakers totally fine. If I can 1v1 a sunbreaker with a pulse rifle and win, I don't see an issue. No more annoying than a blade dancer to me, just a little more armor and a lot easier to hit.
Oh yea, quick sidenote......please inform me.......WHAT THE -blam!- DOES THE SUNBREAKER HAVE AT ITS DISPOSAL OTHER THAN ITS SUPER?!
Short answer? Almost nothing! You people are so cry baby nerf about the class yet you focus on just the super. Lets take a step back and look at what they have when that super is nerfed.
Grenades-a pulse grenade,a sticky grenade and a standard grenade with burn. Extremely basic grenades,woohoo.
Melee let's you weaken enemies,that's cool right? Uhhu,because you can totally take advantage of that in pvp. Explosion with some dot on melee,k that's decent,still requires a second melee making it a bit pointless.
They have exactly 3 perks that do ANYTHING outside of the super.
Fleet fire-anyone killed by your fire abilities gives you increased agility and reload,stacks to 3. Sounds ok right? Aside from the fact you give up the aim assist hammer or damage chain skill,so that's useless.
Cauterize-fire ability kills heal you from melee or grenades. This is actually the only good thing about the skills, well it would be if every other class didn't already have heal on melee hit/kill. Upside for grenades i guess?
Fire keeper-standing in a sunspot gives you an overshield and hammer last longer. I'm guessing this is also super related,but if you get an overshield from the sunspot that's ok,if it's only while standing in it, that's pretty pointleas, this isn't counting that in order to even use this you have to give up cauterize.
So you're really left with 1 perk realistically because of the ridiculous trade offs for the other 2 and that's up to you what youd use. Most will use cauterize.
So yea, the entire class revolves around the super 100%. The grenades are basic, the melee is arguably the only decent thing,1 good option for pve and one for pvp,everything else is pretty much a given in pvp and it all supports the super.
Nerf the super and the whole class burns. Don't be moronic cry babies just because you think it's a little too OP, without the super, sunbreaker is pointless, be grateful your subclasses have uses outside of the super and for -blam!-ing God sake can some of you at least ATTEMPT to use your God Damn brains instead of just vomiting up bullshit because you're butthurt? Actually do some research for once, Christ -_-.
Oh and I don't wanna hear any of that "it's good if you know how to use it" bullshit. Any time that sentence is used in an argument against somrthing, it means it's shit and sub par as far as how effective it is.
Example: Nlb,dregs promise, defender titan, fusion rifles, nechrochasm, the curre,t Mythoclast. All of these things can kill yes, but they are all sub par to their counterparts , meaning they are bad(yes I know nlb is fun and can do well, but it's pretty situational)
