That was one of two things, the stupid chests being the other. Had a couple friends help me through, wiped once on the way to Skolas and one at him (I forgot I had the essence). It's done, I really don't plan on going back unless I want to get another Elder Cipher for QBB. It's not fun at all. Terrible end game content.
