I am gonna copy and paste older suggestions I had in the past while updating a few with more smaller ideas!
-Postmaster: You've got mail!
It is great to see that postmaster symbol turn green. Lost item, public even rewards, etc... The possibilities for this fantastic robot could be even greater with a gifting option. You have an item you can give to a buddy to help them reach beyond level 20? Send them an item and the postmaster will deliver. I, personally, feel like this would be a neat feature. to give the little guy. Of course, you should be able to change the privacy of this feature. The public can give you something, or JUST your friends. Maybe even turn the feature off if you want.
-Clan Quartermaster: Bound by blood
As much as I know Bungie wants people to come to the site and be social within the site, I personally believe not a lot of people like that...or even have a Bungie account. Though a smart way to get people to create an account, I do think there should be a Clan Quartermaster you can go to when you want to invite someone to your cool kids clan. Check your clan member's stats and scores. Clan PVPs. Even exclusive cool clan class items. A one stop shop for all your Clan management.
-Gunsmith: The Forgotten and the Flare
After level 18 or so, this guy is kinda useless. His stock doesn't change for your level 20+ needs. That is okay though since there is the quartermasters and faction leaders! However, wouldn't it be cool to go to him after finding a super cool gun to use for a LONG time. For my Titan, I use the Grim Citizen III Auto Rifle. Awesome gun. But wouldn't it be cool if I could customize the look of my gun aesthetically. Change the color of the stock and those cool LED lights on it. Bring some of that personality to the fight! Let them enemies know you love the shit outta some kittens! (Exceptions with Exotics of course)
-ReRoll: Let's pretend that didn't happen.
You go the cryptarch with a cool, nice Legendary Engram. You hope it is Exotic but you won't be mad because it is still a Legendary. But....you wanted a sweet new helmet to go with them boots, instead you got the SAME pair of boots.. Booo. But wait, for some glimmer, you can preview what it would be before actually identifying it...and say no.. re-roll. Hey, you got gloves instead but at least it wasn't those boots again!
-Barber: Just a little of the top
I am sure alot of you wish to change the appearance of your Guardian after a while. At least to change the "Mark" or hairstyle/hair color. In fact, I regret the appearance of my Hunter... Bad choice. Can't go back and do it now. But that will always be with me. Unless, I can go to a nice barber (or 'mechanic' for Exos).
-Crucible: Reaping the Rewards...or not.
I can not tell you how frustrated I get when I get top dog position after a game, and I get NOTHING for it. I don't even get anything for being at the bottom half 66% of the time. I feel GREAT when I get MVP. Then the mood come crashing down immediately. I am not saying give me something EVERY time. Just give me something MAJORITY of the time.
-Revisiting the ReRoll idea:
Instead of Glimmer, how about Crucible/Vangaurd marks being spent instead?
-Class Items: Not Just for Show
I love Class items. They are neat and I like the look of a lot of them. Adds a bit of personality to the character. But... I really wish they did something more than just looks for a class item. I suggest maybe a boost in the Discipline, Intellect, Strength from them. Just adding some stats in there to help out the Guardian a bit. Another cool idea would be to add multipliers to them? Like, earning a percentage more experience towards factions/vanguard/crucible, or a glimmer bonus, or even a mark bonus
-Strike Roulette: Fun Comes in All Shapes and Sizes
Strikes can be pretty easy. Especially for a level 30+ with all the exotics and cool gear. How about a Strike Playlist that gives the strike RANDOM modifiers. One minute you are killing Prime with Arc Burn and Lightswitch turned on, then you are fighting Valus with Juggler and Angry. Exciting right? (Btw, WORST modifiers for Valus)
-Voting: This is a Democracy!
Sometimes we want to do certain strikes; whether it is for fun or for a bounty. How about getting from 2 or 3 random Strikes to go to after just finishing one? A lot of you bastards like to abandon me when the Undying Mind strike comes up! This same feature can work well for Crucible now that more maps are in circulation. I KNOW some of you are sick of playing Blind Watch and Twilight Gap four times in a row.
-Story Playlist/Matchmaking: A Stranger's Tale
A friend of mine suggested this. He wanted to be able to play a random story mission with strangers similar to Strikes. You do a mission with the reward of more experience and maybe a good drop. And Story Matchmaking for doing story mode with a group of randy's when your friends don't want to deal with story with you. Get some randy's to do the MAIN (the big circle) story missions and progress more quickly through it.
-Patrol Mission bonus: Factions with EXTRA Benefits
You load into the Cosmodrome patrol. You start a Patrol Mission, and New Monarchy has a mission for you. Cool! You are part of the New Monarchy! You finish the mission and you get a measly 10 points (or 12 for nightfall bonus) towards your faction. How about if you are part of a faction, and that faction leader requests something of you in a mission, you get a nice EXTRA little bonus towards that mission completion?
-Fun PvP gamemode: It's a mother f---king Fiesta
Inspired by the very fun Fiesta game mode in Halo, Guardians must face off in team or ffa where every time they die, they get random weapons (in each respective slot; Primary, Secondary, Heavy) with random perks. Of course, this would play like any other crucible game mode (i.e. Clash, Rumble), but with more fun flare.
Those are a few things I thought of for Destiny. I deleted a few suggestions because they were irrelevant due to recent updates to the game. I hope something will catch Bungie's eye. What do you guys think? Any more helpful and on topic suggestions and feedback.
