Alright, guys, you've probably been reading some of the reviews out there that rate the game very badly, and some that say it's just fine. There's a lot of arguing here on the forums, so let's see what the majority thinks so far!
Feel free to share what you rated and explain why; heck, leave a mini review if you feel inspired to do so!
Yes, I'm aware it's only day one. This is just intended to gather everyone's first impressions of the game.

2 RepliesIn my opinion it's a modest 8, its not perfect but so far I've had a blast playing.
-
1 ReplyGave it a 9/10. What it is really missing - split screen!!! Would love to be able to play with my kids at the same time. As it is one person plays for 45 minutes while another watches. CoD much better in this regard. But love the openness of the worlds.

If u rate it a 1 why r u on these forums? Lol

I think it deserves an 8/10. The visuals are good, the music is great, the gameplay is solid as hell, the world is interesting, the story is meager but feels like it's on the precipice of awesome.... that being said it loses a point for being smaller than I would like... or even like they said it was going to be... it loses another point for repetition which goes back to the size. I hate going over the same terrain over and over again or jumping towards solid rock to find an instant death because that's where the edge of the map is. And, 4 areas that all don't have a lot of internal variety... can we just admit that there need to be way more play areas released and hopefully for free or included with the expansion pack?

Looks like 70% of people are trying to justifying their ghost edition purchase
-
8 RepliesIt's funny how the meta score is 5.5 but most people on here give it 9/10
-
1 ReplyI give it an 8.0 and ghosts an 8.2

8/10 good gameplay, several major flaws.
Who rated it 10/10??
7/10 I feel like it's way to short and there's a few bugs that need to be fixed. The level 20 cap and the lack of story is what really disappointed me. I think this was a waste of my time, unless they add dlc's that increase the level cap and add new planets.

10/10 stellar.
-
Eh 6/10

I bought the game yesterday, but still haven't played it... My mind is tortured over this. Can't focus on work... Need to focus damn it. I've played the Beta though and from my experience from that I would rate it 8/10 very close to a 9/10. Hope to see you all in the Destiny universe!

First impressions so far gets a 7/10 from me. Mind that I haven't got to max level nor beat story mode yet. Its above average so far, and still enjoyable. It can still definitely bump up, or bump down once I get more experience in the game (I hope not for the latter).

9/10!!

A solid 9/10 amazing game!!

1 Reply9/10 Love the gameplay, universe, lore, classes and MMO concepts. The grind is ridiculously addicting. Hate the somewhat poor presentation of the story, it ends way to abruptly and is not nearly flashed out enough for the core game. And patrol mode could use some work. Sure it's fun to d*ck around with a bunch of friends or do some random missions but there's just not enough mission variety if you ask me.
-
1 ReplyFun game, too short though. In less than 24 hours I hit level 20 and apparently finished all the story...

5. Fix the social problems and the terrible clan system and it'd be a 7 or 8 but at the minute it's just a poor Halo. I'm genuinely curious as to what Bungie think is new here. I could team up with friends on Xbox live and run Halo levels cooperatively, all the enemies and guns are Halo, the PVP - which is unsurprisingly this games redeeming feature - is Halo, the only difference is a few random people running around in the "open world" (which isn't really all that open) who despite being on same mission as you disappear when you enter the 'darkness' - you could suggest teaming up of course, but only if you want to mess around for 20 minutes, by which point he's vanished. Had it been a genuinely social experience - as billed - we'd all be looking at it very differently because it would have combined two genres very well (MMORPG and FPS) but for some reason, the best part of MMOs has been taken away. It's baffling. I do like strikes, though there's nothing social about them since Bungie thinks we're too stupid to use a mute button if someone is being an arse, so instead, just blocked us from having chat.

9/10, kinda pissed how they just abandoned the "see it, reach it" aspect stressed at E3...makes it seem like an open-roof dungeon game...also can't adjust music or effects in game.
-
7 RepliesThe game is okay. Nothing "innovative", but it's fun.
-
1 Reply9.75/10 very fun and very addicting
-
1 ReplyGave it 7/10. If there was chat/mic support, it'd be 9/10.

Edited by Warpath73: 9/10/2014 10:17:14 PMSo far I'd say just barely a 9. It has a few nagging flaws (negligible story, Tower is insanely dull, wicked long load times and waits between Crucible matches), but I'm still addicted already. Can't wait to see what kinds of updates they can deliver! Edit: cool to see that 95% are giving it 7 or higher, with 89% at 8+. Looks like most folks voting agree with 9... anyhow, see you all Starside!

Going with an 8 because the Mic Issues, I really want to play / meet new people. Feel free to add me anyone, LegendaryKdoor. Also resurrecting an old Clan, The F4llen http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/218759

I'm thoroughly enjoying it

9/10 for now, till they patch in proxy chat or offline campaign
