Activision is trying to reclaim sales it lost to GTAV.
This is a worrisome news for the Call of Duty Franchise where recent reports point to decrease in pre-orders at all time lows. Though conflicting messages coming from VP of Marketing, that they are on track.
So what is your view of these news?
And if you agree sales are dropping what is your reasoning behind it.

Edited by Jono: 10/17/2013 8:03:46 PMRockstar beat Activision because Rockstar makes top-quality games that make you play for years and years. Activision makes a CoD, makes it last one year, and then kills the current game with a new game with overpriced DLC. The cycles repeats year after year.

I still dont understand the fun in gta5. Its probably just not for me.

As much as I hate GTAO right now, I have to say it's funny to think Ghosts has a chance. GTA has a population almost double of any Call of Duty game so far, not to mention GTA is a game that all sorts of people play. I know friends who do nothing but Race because they're racing fans, friends who are shooter fans and play deathmatch stuff. I even have friends from PC that play the missions and are waiting for heists because it tends to their gameplay.

Son, right here's a story to be told. Once upon a time there was a gaming community with 20 yea r old men. These men followed the rules and was a great gaming community. Then one day an idiotic 10 year old led the kids to defeat the men. And so the 10 year olds ruled COD. While the men played pokemans. And it remains that way to this day. The end

Lol, the way he says that they look forward to taking back their record makes him sound arrogant.
-
Jeez, that guy sounds arrogant and annoying, I don't even mind COD that much, but the developers behind it are obnoxious. "We look forward to taking back our record" GTFO
-
This sucks, because Ghosts is shaping up to be the best CoD since the original Modern Warfare.
-
From what I've seen and heard, GTA V epitomizes revolutionary gameplay. Nice to know there's a developer out there that actually tries to make good quality games.

As I said earlier, persistent worlds are the future. Console FPS's downfall is imminent. Halo may have to adapt once again in order to survive.

$60.00 for a game plus $20.00 per DLC nearly every 2 months, so there is potentially $160.00 bucks wrapped up in each CoD game. THAT is the problem. Sell the game for $100.00 and send out the DLC's when they are times at no additional cost, problem solved. It's the gouging, not other games.
-
It could just be that there it a lot of competition between games this fall. But hopefully it's because more people are realizing that their paying for the same game every year.
