Stop making me play your terrible pvp to unlock something in pve
I’ll make this short and simple. I just want the witherhoard catalyst but I’ve got to play pvp and get 100 kills. Pvp is so unbalanced and trying to get 100 kills (assist towards kill don’t count) is the most boring thing I’ve ever done in my life. Stop shoving your terrible pvp down pve players throats please

Yeah it sucks nowadays, (somewhat enjoyed crucible in d1) but gambit sucks more. Just noticed that stasis subclass things are tied to the gambit. (Late to the party). This so much annoys me, mumbling...[spoiler]stupid gambit, fight bulletsponges while some random with a wallhack and a heavy weapon shoots ya, funfunfun.[/spoiler] Can't stand it, but i'll suck it up, just bc it's a subclass thingy...[spoiler]maybe i'll do it tomorrow, drunk so atleast could have some fun[/spoiler]

I did the witherhoard catalyst when it came out. I could be wrong but, i don't remember doing it in pvp.

2 RepliesI was surprised to see the lack of help in the comments below. So if a beginner walks into an MMA gym, their response is supposed to be, "it's easy for me, so you just go do it." Fundamentally unsound logic. All he is really requesting is that Bungie "Stop shoving your terrible pvp down pve players throats please." This is a reasonable request that you may or may not agree with, but the request is valid. I am not good with grenade launchers, or I would give him tips to HELP. Hopefully one of you better players can please throw some ideas in this feed to assist in making the problem easier to deal with. Although I do understand that telling him "it's Easy" is apparently more fun that trying to legitimately help.

Wait for momentum control to come into rotation and just spam fighting lion(because of the amount of ammo you get) but any nade launcher will do.

I dont want to do VOG for a pvp fatebringer yet I still did it for that Fatebringer. StOP FoRcInG pVP PLaYeRs in PvE. Literally just walk around a corner and press the trigger it guarantees 1 kill most of the time.

Bro 100 kills isnt hard you dont need to use witherhoard you can use any grenade launcher you can also do gambit

Dude it’s probably the easiest catalyst to complete. Even with out the catalyst booster from that season.

It was pretty easy to do with witherhorde and control playlist. People stand around a lot. Get some scavenger perks going. Maybe look at a guide if you need more help than that? Bungie has always cross promoted all parts of the game, including PVP, for 7 years. You basically have to expect it now. At least it's only like 10% of the game that needs PvP to complete. Could be 33% crucible and 33% Gambit. Don't expect to get all the loot if you don't play the whole game.

3 RepliesMy worst grinds forcing PvP are like you ....the Witherhoard! But add Ticcu's Divination, the Exotic Stasis Pistol (whatever that POS is), Vigilance Wing & Jade Rabbit.......I'm pretty sure V-Wing required 200+ Guardian Kills to go full auto. Fark, that one was HARD work!

I have eight or nine old quests to do with auto rifles or shot guns where pvp kills are required. Picked a few kills up in gambit by proxy by taking out invaders, but it is what it is. Pvp is just uninteresting to some. I just leave the quests hanging. I couldn't tell you what Bungie could do to make pvp more approachable, but it's not what I signed up for as it is. But I'm I have nothing against pvp players that like it and it's a shame they don't get more content and maps.

1 ReplyYes it sucks. Bungie fails to realise that many many PvE players don't like PvP and vice-versa. However, seeing as this is likely to never change, here are some tips: - play control/iron banner and shoot the capture points while there are enemies trying to cap them. - gravitate to tight corridors so people can't strafe away from the blight. - use it like a shotgun, in my experience direct hits almost always result in a kill. Get right up close to ensure this, even if it results in your death. - fire a hail mary at the start of each match in the direction of the enemy spawn, you might get lucky.
