Can you please for the love of God have dedicated servers
I dont know what you think you're doing without them, but you guys need them.

3 RepliesI don’t think you will ever get dedicated servers, but something needs to be done. I’m guessing you are referring to PVP, but PVE is laughable now, with teleporting enemies, enemies magically regenerating health.

impossible destiny 2 pvp area is a free to play system there is money to be made of this system. so why installe something that cost a lot of money if you can make any off it. make no sence

9 RepliesThat's like saying I am poor, I should just have more money and stop being poor. Dedicated global servers don't cone cheap fella and from what we've seen so far, Bungie don't like spending money if they don't have to which I understand from a business perspective.

Once you realize that they don't care about their players and that they only care about money, you will stop asking. Bungo is the type of cheap, greedy bunch that you could die and they would find a way to capitalize over your funeral.

1 ReplyYes. Servers. Everyone connects to their fastest dedicated server. A properly maintained powerful server on multiple mega fatpipes of internetty goodness. NOT someone is assigned host on their pappy 5mbit/512k twisted pair to which they connect via a hugely locally contested 2.4Ghz WiFi on which they take third place behind the TV playing Netflix and the sister watching/uploading endless makeup tutorials.

I can't complain too much since I only get disconects maybe 6-7 times a day, is no biggie, saw alot worse in some other games but never as bad as this in a Triple A game. They really need to make you be able to "return to activity" within at least 3 minutes of DC.

2 RepliesThey're too busy tripling the size of their headquarters and opening up shop in Europe with all the money we gave them to spend money on something that WE want. Enjoy your Halo era P2P networking! Oh, and make sure you go watch whatever new media Luke Smith is currently in charge of overseeing. (I still think that might just mean Destiny's going to phone app, but others are saying movie or TV show)

Because of start up and maintenance costs wont be recovered in the 2 years this game has left. Think of it like a car that needs a new engine & your getting rid of the car in 2 years, more often then not its cheaper to buy a new car. same principle here. Bungie just wont ever say it will never happen because then it draw a line in the sand, which they want to stay ambiguous with so you hope you may finally get that engine in your car replaced.

I assume your referring to PvP matches. I have no problem matchmaking although do wish I wouldn’t constantly be paired up with sweaty PvP players. PvP use to be fun and lately with Stasis and teleporting guardians it just is irritating. Bring back Mayhem it doesn’t matter if I win or loose I’m having fun and isn’t that’s what we are missing in PvP. Bungie we PvP players need something to keep us entertained too.

I would explain why this is better for a competitive PvP game, but I'd really rather people read it. It's fair enough to make a mistake when everyone else seems to say it's correct, but please don't be rude or hostile about it towards other posters or Bungie. Bungie do need to do something, but that something is simply saying outright in the TWAB that they have bought a load of servers, and that they are using them in a different way to the usual to give a fairer experience for everyone. Dedicated servers for what? so you can Grime PVP matches... there is no point... it's just one less thing to complain about. You have got absolutely no idea what goes into having dedicated servers to provide PVP matches to millions of players... The ONLY way that bungie would offer Dedicated Servers for PVP, would be if it was a PAID SERVICE. If 20,000 people want to dump $10 a month into Destiny 2 PVP, just so nobody has an advantage, it's not going to end well. $10 a month subscription service to play against the sweatiest of sweaty, grimiest of grimy, players that exist in the gaming world... yeah, expect that to be nothing but the most toxic community of people on the planet. "I pay $10 a month for access and I can't get in... who cares if I DC'd from the last 3 matches, I PAID FOR THIS!!!" ...Yeah, even Bungie isn't dumb enough to offer this.

2 RepliesLol this game is not gonna die. As someone who has played since the earliest days if D1, many have predicted it's demise. At the end of the day it's still fun, and will continue to appeal to players whether you, I, or anyone else grow tired of it. Maybe what you need is a break. I took one. Now I play it and have fun with realistic expectations. It's far from perfect, but it is good for what it is.

Dedicated servers would be great but this game has been around 7 years & this has been said a billion times out of salt.. It isn't gunna go down in flames because they dont have dedicated servers.
