Get ready this is gonna be quite long. So Lately I have been unable to play long sessions because of Newt and Watercrest errors. Being fed up I went to Twitter because why not and searched for Bungie help. To my surprise I found a post by DMG04 A.K.A Dylan Gafner. https://twitter.com/A_dmg04/status/1242907457820614661?s=20 . That's his post and I used it to help me write a log to report. Here we go. Game did not respond to my controller so I closed game. Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. Game successfully loaded fine @6:13ish pm 6:45pm - Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] was playing Gambit Prime after the match was done as I left lobby I was given Newt error code. Game did not respond to my controller so I closed game. Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. Game successfully loaded fine @6:50ish pm 7:09pm - Game froze after Newt error code while trying to match make into Supremacy [b]Notes:[/b] I was done with Gambit daily and weekly bounties so I joined a friend at the Tower for some shared wisdom, clear postmaster of unwanted loot, collect daily and weekly bounties for Crucible; Iron Banner (quest was picked up along with bounties); and Vanguard. I joined a party chat with him before joining. Soon as I was done I went to orbit and allowed for my ship to come up counted the magical 3 Mississippi’s and continued to match make into Supremacy crucible game mode. Got Newt error code. Game did not respond to my controller input so I closed game. Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. This failed 6x. To be cleared after character was selected, I would allow anywhere from 1-2 minutes to pass in black screen in which sometimes you can hear orbit audio and can hear character menu and destination menu pop up sound but no visual. Every time I would close game and restart it with everything in same sequence manner. 7:41pm - On 7th start up, after character select screen I let the game just run to see what would happen in this black screen. About after 3 minutes of wait time game finally game me an error. Watercrest. Hit B and was taken to title screen. Gave it my 3 Mississippi’s, hit A and a couple seconds after, game completely froze/crashed. Game self closed. Now at Xbox home/dashboard screen I restarted game. 8th restart was a fail. 9th start up began with me leaving party chat before I closed game on 8th fail. With party chat gone I restarted game but 9th start up was a fail. 10th start up was a success @7:59pm. I proceeded to play without party chat but Spotify was still on. 9:25pm – Game froze after Newt error notice game [b]Notes:[/b] Was playing Iron banner and on last game before error code I joined a party chat with two friends. After game ended I was given the Newt error code. Game did not respond to my controller so I closed game. Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. Game successfully loaded fine @9:30pm. At this time Spotify app was closed 10:00pm - Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] Was playing Iron Banner with 2 friends while in party chat and no Spotify. After match ended we were suspended in orbit before finally getting error code Newt. Game did not respond to my controller input I closed and restarted game. Friends reported that I was still in there fire team for a few minutes after I had already closed game. They received the same error code but the game was still responsive to them and did not need to close game. On this crash I turned off the Xbox One X holding down the power button till it turned off. I disconnected the Ethernet cable from one port and connected it to another to ensure that for whatever reason it was not that port even though other games worked fine. Turned power back on to the Xbox One X and proceeded to open Destiny 2 game. Start up was a fail two more times so now at 3 fails at this moment. 4th start up was a success @ 10:27pm. Side note when I restarted my Xbox One X I joined my friends in party chat. 10:34pm – Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] Met up with friends in orbit. Went to tower to clear post master; turn in bounties with shared wisdom; pick up Trials weekly and daily bounties and passage. Went to Orbit. Waited for everyone to be ready and be fully loaded in orbit visually before beginning Trials run. We were stuck pre search. Received Newt error code. Game was not responding to controller input, closed game. . Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. This was another fail start began 3rd attempt to a success. Still in party chat this whole time no Spotify. Forgot to log success time. 10:59pm - Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] After 1 Trials match Fireteam leader went straight into looking for another game from end game results we went into Orbit but game was stuck pre search to finally recive Newt error code. Game did not respond to my controller so I closed game. Restarted and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. 2nd try was a fail but 3rd was a success @11.05. Still in party chat this whole time and no Spotify. 11:20pm – Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] After 1 Trials match Fireteam leader allowed for timer to take us to orbit then proceeded to match in a Trials match but we were stuck pre search so fireteam leader booted me before I received any error. My game closed on its own leaving me at the Xbox dashboard. Restarted game. and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. On character select screen I allowed the image of characters to load up and be visually seen and allowed for 3 Mississippi's to pass before reselecting Warlock character. . Game successfully loaded fine @11:26 pm 11:34pm - Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] After 1 Trials match Fireteam leader allowed for timer to take us to orbit then proceeded to match in a Trials match but we were stuck pre search so fireteam leader booted me before I received any error. My game closed on its own leaving me at the Xbox dashboard. Restarted game. and allowed 3 Mississippi's to pass after title screen fully loaded and advised to press A. Game successfully loaded fine @11:40 pm. Although game restarted fine we began to troubleshoot Unplugged router and modem this included Ethernet wires and power supply Went to Xbox settings/ advance settings/ MAC address/ Clear Mac let it restart Plug in modem allowed for it to fully restart and go online then did the same to router but changed once again the Ethernet port the Xbox One X was using Verified that it was online checked settings and ports then I disconnected power supply to Xbox One X waited about 30 actual seconds then reconnected power supply. This was finished @12:18am (3/28/2020) Now I was feeling confident so LETS GO FLAWLESS RUN !!! 12:19am - Game froze after Newt error notice [b]Notes:[/b] At this point I didn’t care to see if it responded to my controller and all that other stuff. I just quit out of the respect to my friends and there time. They are right. This is ridiculous and crazy and makes playing near impossible.
