I didn't even notice the "harder" enemies. Were there? Final Assault felt exactly the same as Offensive to me, with the only noticeable difference being the boss.

The Final Assault happened, what are you talking about? Nowhere was it shown, or advertised that there would be loot (aside from the Triumph and emblem) to go along with it.
