I've noticed that when I win a comp match I earn very little glory, but when I lose I lose a lot of glory. Is there a bug.

Edited by superluigi6968: 11/19/2019 3:13:31 AMThe game basically pre-places you based on how it rates your previous performance. So if it assesses you to be of Mythic skill level, you'll have crazy gains and almost no Glory loss all the way to Mythic. If it assesses you as Brave III, you'll get a brief stint of fast-tracking, and then it'll hard gimp you with reduced Glory gains and increased Glory loss rate. So basically, abandon comp for a while, go play some other mode and put on a good show. Just convince the system that you belong where you want to be, and periodically check in to comp to see what your gain/loss rate is. Welcome to the Comp game, where nothing is competitive. Seriously, it has nothing to do with how you stack up against other players, and everything to do with how the game rates your personal performance.

4 RepliesComp now is based off Bungies "True Skill" based off your previous seasons performance determines how many games it will take to get too legend. Example someone with a 3.0 will only need 25 and someone with a 0.8 it will take 65+(based off me checking out a bunch of players at 5500) meaning comp is 50/50 games, forced wins and forced losses. So if you climb too slow on 50/50s you get forced wins. If you win to many 50/50s straight you get forced loses.

2 Repliesafter you get to your "true skill" level in Comp. you can only progress through win streaks. win +40 loss -60 if you win every other match you'll lose more than you'll gain. welcome to Fableville.

Feels good to be alive. 😆

As you get further into the glory climb, it becomes tougher and tougher. You win less and lose more glory depending on how you do. Try to learn as much about this quest as you can to reduce confusion and so you can build a better strategy than just winging it.

2 RepliesEdited by meaflare: 11/18/2019 4:55:10 AMI think it might be due to a problem with "True Skill" matchmaking. "True Skill" makes it so you earn more points/lose more points based on how you're playing in the match. My theory is, you might be winning all of your matches, but you might be held back by what the "True Skill" thinks is your true skill.
