how would they detect when it's a 'throw' suicide rather than a strategic suicide?

Punish people who dont use their supers in comp!! Countdown matches! Survival matches! Ive been matched with geniuses who apparently will not activate super even if its to win a comp match. Comp. can be real shit playin solo with people who wont do the bare minimum. I hate being at the top of the leader board and losing more than anything. I can understand losing badly but what i cant understand is blowing a lead using my stupid fn super strategically. Winning a match but my team witholds supers to the point where they are eliminated. Its such a joke even regular quickplay is littered with tons of juveniles. This is the worst experience Destiny 2 can give u and major let down at that the end game content is full of a negative playerbase PvP and PvE in all. Im so glad I am in a nice clan cuz I would have gave up on this game in 2017 in the winter hadnt it been for me finding my way into a clan early 2018. I feel so bad for these dudes who lose in these comp matches and have a hard time cuz of pace or give up cuz its infuriating to get destroyed but at the same time im hoping these dudes have their day and get up there and can beat down some of the sweatiest demons they have faced. My main issue is idc if u die using ur super just use it to play a smart game. Even if u die in ur super and its the enemies comeback it doesnt matter at least u tryed unlike the 80% who just get shot out at these tactical game modes. Everyone playing comp is still learning how to play new ways to and some ways can be aggressive and others can be more laid back. However u play thats on u and whoever u solo que with and play with clan or even friendwise. Im just gunna put ot out there. Its a dick move if u know u can win the game. Had a dude with hot knives of doom just now in Lock Down I followed him to see if he would use his super and i could pick off the dudes that were left. The dude does a hunter dodge even before they come in sight and head over to where our guys are Im stuck on one side cuz a titan decided to gorilla rush me with shotty and end up koed. The dude comes back over to where i am at gets killed game over for real the only guy left is a Titan and he gets ganged up on by a warlock and hunter. After 4 rounds even 2 to 2 I started getting into a rhythm and held high position in leader board for the people i was put with. After a tactical super in the 3rd win we were on a role all the way till the 5th win where we got -blam!-ed cuz the other team used their supers one per god damn round to catch up to 5. The not so hot knives hunter on our team had his super since I had mine way back in the tactical 3rd win. Idk if maybe he didnt know or if he thinks hes a pro d2 gamer. Up until that point after i used my super thr other 2 had as well but in seperate occasions. The hot knives had the chance to kill 2 oposers before they activated supers and end the match he had 4 players in sight who didnt activate their supers until well into their own 3rd win. I took out one super but got taken out by another. This game is on a no fun scale of negative infinity for me rn. I guess the older i get the more i realize what a worthless waste of time it is and its sad cuz I had duped myself into thinking this was gunna be "such an amazing games." Some of the modern games have just been a waste of time, effort, and money. I find myself going outside a lot more socializing doing sports, staying away from what would be a shitty gaming experience. I wont stop playing it with the clan but lil by lil Im beginning to not give 2 flying -blam!-s about all these random gun quests and what not . Sure getting the LH and the Recluse was like oh kewl but after LH u got the NF gun quest, -blam!- that. The grind is not fun like in D1. The grind feels like u did something bad. I dont feel accomplished in any way at all from doing any or the pinnical quests or getting any of the exotics. I just feel like oh something new, no elation no sense of real fulfillment. I even find myself constantly on these forum looking for people who feel the same way. I got one clan buddy who seems to have just had it with the games PvP for almost similar reasons. U can talk to every Destiny 2 player that played Destiny 1 and i shit u not that they wont retort the words Destiny 1 was better in some form or another. As soon as it comes time for D3 they are gunna want u to fotget everything bad that happened with D2. Players will never forget their will be an even bigger shitstorm than the passed D2 Vanilla endgame drought and CoO DLC and WM DLC(small adhessives). Im gunna stop this brick wall of text and make it crash down with this final last paragraph of text. I do agree with u MC, players who omph themselves deserve a Lord Shaxx discipline session. Not only is that unsportsmenlike but a major damper on gameplay thats all on Bungie. Players who do hqrmful illegal activity to other players, those horendous pricks who deserve what ever system or device they are using to play on for D2 just explode just because Karma. The Comp community can be so toxic that u need to go to a sauna to expunge all impurities wrout out through the intense hellscape, ddossery, and grindy mess that can be just 1 silly match of some game that in 20 years will be shelved maybe even less. Sure its a sad way to look at it but look on the brightside u dont have to deal with this community for decades. Sure it may still be around but everyones life here will move forward even the ones who stay up into and maybe passed into Bungies later years like maybe 40 years from now if they can bring us something truly amazing in D3 to show us they mean well and want to be around for a very long time. I cant wait to either be immersed or totally abandon all interest.

Theres plenty of times suicide is the right choice in comp. 1v4? Why let enemies gain super energy that much quicker, kiting a enemy super away from your team, and denying them points for the kill? Awesome.

Depends on why people Kill themselves: If it is survival and it is one guy with 0 lives versus a team with 4 spares, the best option might be to suicide to not let them have more super If they constantly suicide, for things like control / clash / other reasons, then yeah i'm all ears.

Don’t make supers practically invincible unless you have a firing squad on hand, and I won’t jump off the map.

Sometimes it's beneficial to suicide. Clash/ control. Being chased by a super? Kite it to a ledge and jump off.. sometimes they will follow you. If you damage them before you both jump off you'll get credited for a kill while they will get nothing. Survival/ countdown if it's 1v4 i'll usually just jump off the map to keep them from building super... depends on the situation though

If I ever go off the map, it’s solely because I lost my bearings. It happens more than I’d like to admit. I’ll never purposely jump off. You never know what can happen if you put up a fight.

Until there's a valid way to counter a super that isn't another super. I disagree. Yeah this doesn't apply to most comp games, but still.

Srsly.., i will kill my self on the last match if we are loosing 5-0..., there is no point to even try...

Suiciding needs a penalty in PvP overall like honestly. Its toxic. This stuff used to be punished in many games and then it just changed even though it was an accepted and well received feature.

I've seen a couple of people do this, but I didn't think much of it at the time or give much attention as to whether or not they were doing this for the entire match or most of the match. What purpose does this serve? Why are they doing this, and what are they trying to accomplish by doing it. Forgive the ignorance here, but I'm not understanding the reason why they are doing this.
