  • Excellent point. I was more looking for subjective feedback from those who play often and what they find particularly rewarding

  • Oh. My bad. For me its the thrill of competition and the drive to get better at PvP. Im one of the weirdos that thinks that Bungie makes the best pvp in the business. Unfortunately I cant play too often until I fix my internet. Or when I visit someone that has access to internet from this decade. As far as PvE is concerned Ive been playing that more because its all I can play atm so Im beginning to understand some of the gripes people have with it. But Im not reallly one of those people that requires thousands of pieces of loot to make me happy. For the most part I wouldnt really consider the way I play pve to be too grindy. I will say that Ive been trying to put myself im the shoes of people that bought the game solely for the looter shooter aspect. Some of the complaints seem very much warramted amd some of them dont really.

  • Wonderful! So you enjoy PVP, and enjoy honing your skills, and therein is the reward? That’s a marvelous viewpoint. You’re not particularly concerned about loot as the reward, but your skillset getting better is it’s own reward. Brilliant.

  • Exactly. Its more about the journey than the destination for me. I feel like with PvP there is almost infinite room for improvement. Its almost a good thing Ive had to take a break because it was too the point where I felt like I was getting away with something sinister every time I turned the game on because thats how happy it was making me. Now of course there are those says where I would get 6 hours of horrendous matchmaking coupled with my trash internet and I would be furious. But that just goes to show that theres something about it to where I was actually becoming emotionally invested in it and felt it was as legitimate of a hobby as chess or basketball or working out. Thats probably only happened with two other videogames in my entire lifetime.

  • Yeah. Its so screwed up. I actually went down to the one ISP other than these flim flam artists that I go through now that I can get in my apartment building and much to my surprise I find out that someone in my family got cable in my name a few years ago and proceeded to rack up an insane bill then didn't pay for it. Needless to say, said person will not be getting a Christmas present from me next year.

  • I felt similarly about D1, but for different reasons. I loved that PvP for the significantly varied loadouts and strats employed, but for me that had a lot to do with the base mechanics and reward system. I’m very grateful for your feedback, and good luck in the crucible! Go get you some!

I came to D1 late but I can understand why so many people liked it. Almost want to go back and run through it properly because i honestly had no idea what I was doing. You have a good one man.

  • I’ll tell you truthfully, the beginning stages of D1 were rough, but if you need a teammate on xbox1, I’ll help with whatever you’d like. I loved that game, strikes, raids, whole 9 yards. It’d be my privilege to be on your team. D1 that is.
