I've been seeing a lot of youtubers/streamers say that the 3rd seed of light required for the 3rd subclass is acquired exclusively in the raid... This best not be the case. I'm so tired of the "philosophy" and the constant catering to literally anyone besides the solo players or literally any player that doesn't want to do pvp or the raids. It's completely unnecessary to do shit like this. A subclass is not a f***ing endgame reward! It's something everyone should be able to get with or without a group, and it shouldn't require anything to do with endgame.
Just when I thought you'd actually learned something with this expansion, you go and pull BS like this again. Stop trying to force people to do things they don't want to do. I sincerely hope the community gives you hell for this if this is the only way to acquire the 3rd subclass. Hell even needing to do the blind well for the second is a stretch honestly. Someone from Bungie needs to speak up about this, and I sincerely hope there's a lot of backlash if this is the case.

3 RepliesBOOM! Bungie tweeted out that the third subclass would not be locked behind the raid and there were other ways. I was right.

7 RepliesIf you don't want to do the raid, and don't want to do pvp, and don't want to work with other players, why did you buy a game that you know requires you to work with other players in the first place. (I get hating pvp, but hating pvp AND hating PvE end game strikes, nightfall's, and raids makes me wonder what you have the game for).

17 RepliesEdited by R Y U K E R リューカー: 9/15/2018 11:04:30 AMYou lot are doing my head in. Just play the game. I will concede that perhaps a skill tree being such a high stakes reward makes less sense than an exotic quest line but it’s starting to really bother me that you’re all complaining for being encouraged to play more than 10% of the game and that everyone expects to be given all the trophy’s without any of the input. You want AoS? Get better at crucible. You want raid drops? Get higher light and join a group. People complaining that they are solo players etc: Destiny is a team based game, with the exception of the campaign, the entire game is based around playing with others. If you don’t like playing with other people, you’ve chosen the wrong game. There’s now LFG etc. I know there are scum bags out there that boot or leave and that’s what Bungie should address with a rep system or something. I also realise that some people may have anxiety or perhaps no mic or another reason for being unable to play the raid or team based activities and sincerely I sympathise but when a game is designed as a team game, expecting anything else is only going to lead to disappointment. I would suggest that if you were to criticise Bungie here it would be better to ask them to put more work into their “Fireteams” stuff, with rep systems and better rewards for helpful and patient players. Edit: grammar.

10 Replies"Solo Players" Youre playing a -blam!-ing MMORPG, you shouldn't have bought this game.
-
5 RepliesBump. This is exactly why i did not and will never again pre-purchase a season or annual pass from these manipulative bastards.
-
I am a pve/raider, but I agree with you. Bungie should NOT be locking stuff behind the raid or pvp!!!! Just because people play Destiny, it doesn’t mean they want to be pushed into the raid or pvp!!!
-
5 RepliesThat’s because it is, and I am livid. I could always forgive them locking gear behind the raids, but this is absolutely ridiculous.
-
1 ReplyIn D1 I got to max light and full levels thanks to Iron Banner - I never raided. Surely something similar can be done here for PvP players - kill quota, match win/lost quota, anything that proves a challenge. For PvE players it could be something like accumulated points from Escalations, Public Events, Lost sectors and patrols. Sure, it would be a helluva grind compared to a quick score in a raid, but at least it would give ALL of the player-base the opportunity to max out subclasses.
-
3 RepliesThey apparently needed to raise their statistics on raids for the report to Activision. Gotta show how "successful" the game is. Pathetic Bungie. Fix one thing and screw up three others.
-
9 RepliesBungo strikes again. Locking a basic feature behind a end game activity that only 20% of player base cares about and has no matchmaking. Seriously, what a bunch of trolls.
-
3 RepliesIts only for a couple weeks that the seeds of light are going to be locked behind the blind well and raid, they did this so people have a reason to go do the raid and blind well+ it’s a meaningful reward for doing them, if you don’t do those activity’s then you’ll get the 3rd subclass in a couple weeks, if you want classes handed out to you go play COD
-
9 RepliesWhat I love is when destiny first came out they said you could play it how you liked. Unless you’re a solo player because if you are well -blam!- you, sincerely Bungie

9 RepliesEdited by Zero the Remnant: 9/15/2018 8:25:29 AMThe funniest thing is soon Raiders will be complaining that people are only doing to 1st encounter then bailing. (Leaving them to wait & LFG for however many bailed after the unlock) Because many will only want to unlock it then leave. So this really is a HUGE detriment to the Raid. Just because someone enjoys Raiding does not mean others do. This isn't a Solo vs Social topic. This is game design 101. Basic Character development/features should not be locked behind content barely anyone plays. The extreme majority of Destiny players do not visit forums, 3rd party LFG websites & etc. Without Raid MM this is a SEVERE blow to the momentum Forsaken had. Edit: Fixed a severe typo!!

2 RepliesIt's dropping from the Tier 3 Blind Well
-
4 Repliesoh my god another "solo snowflake" all you have to do is do the raid until you get it, THEN STOP, if you really care so much about the 3rd seed to cry about it on onlines forums, than just do the freaking raid, get the seed and shut up! Bungie are trying to make it more worth while for players to go into the raid, becasuse you know, in year 1 they had the feedback of "oh yeah i dont do raids because there is really no point" once you get the seed, you have it forever, so either do it, or not, choice is yours.
-
2 RepliesYou know very well it is. On a serious note, it's still very probable that it'll be available outside of the raid once it's been beaten, we still have yet to even scratch the surface of the Dreaming City.
-
1 ReplyLove the title badass. Youre so edgy i cant stand it.
fookin muted
-
2 RepliesIt's not, you have a chance to obtain in tier 3 of blind well.

2 RepliesLook at this guy hes a game designer now. If Bungie was incapable of making a game do you think they would still be around 27 years later? It's because of crybabies like you that Destiny 2 was so terrible, why the leviathan was the most laziest dumb downed raid ever made. They wanted to cater to the "casual" gamer. There should be nothing casual about destiny. Forsaken was made for the hardcore destiny players the ones that put 1k hours or more into the original Destiny. Raids are designed by the raid team to be near impossible, what game do you know that has anything like the raids destiny has? I'm off topic now but seeing this posts about 3rd subclass being locked behind the raid is pathetic. If you dont like what Bungie does then dont buy their products believe me they won't miss your money. Great job to the Raid Design team, you have made the ones that love destiny forget about that pathetic raid called Leviathan. To you cry baby play the game stop whining.
-
4 RepliesConstantly catering to non solo players. Lol. You would think that after what 5 years of destiny 1/2 people would learn that destiny is not a solo game. You don’t have friends to play with or want a solo game? Go play the last of us or god of war or something.
-
6 RepliesThey are trying to get more of the community to do the raid. Just be thankful it isn’t from beating the raid.
-
You can also get the 3rd seed of light from tier lv3 of the wells
-
I do believe the 3rd seed is in the Raid
-
2 RepliesIt’s just the beta.
-
I hope it is I have never done any d2 raids as there was no point. Level and gear was available out of it and it had rubbish encounters. D1 raided on all raids to get guns and in y1 and y2 for power as well, that’s how it should be simple
-
Its also worth noting that once u beat the final boss, u have to beat a bit after to even get your loot LOL The fact people took 12 hours to do the boss, and STILL get ruined on the next section is cracking me up. Far more entertaining seeing streamers react to that news than the raid itself tbh
