D2 needs work but I still play it on the regular. Who's with me?

I get it. D2 is dead. It's a failure.

I play when I feel moved to. So I played during IB and Faction Rally, mostly for armor and ornaments. After I masterwork my NM set it'll be just strikes to chill when I feel like it. That's all I've ever played Destiny for. To look cool and shoot shit. Basically, I've been curbing my enthusiasm since a bit before RoI.

How can you have fun playing this game? They nerfed the entire Destiny experience. Destiny 1 was fun. D2 sucks.

I liked the game for the first couple of months until I realized what was the point of leveling up if I knew I was never really going to be hard core raider. After I read the message boards and realized that there was no raid specific weapons or gear I knew I would never play the raid. There is no incentive when everything is just a re skin. There is no replay ability factor that makes you crave more. Call of duty is the same way. Once you beat the campaign and learn the maps on pve you become bored and stop playing ultimately. This game could have been the Mecca of all games if they followed suit and built off the first one but they took a giant step backwards for no apparent reason. Sure there are some good things they did, the fluidity of the game is great and feels good to play, it’s a beautiful looking game aesthetically but the grind is gone and feeling of accomplishment isn’t there. They made several mistakes in the first destiny as well. For that matter I don’t know if light leveling is this answer going forward after I say this. Why would you make fantastic raids obsolete by implementing another raid to take its place to bring higher light ultimately? Why not just level up your ranking and do away with light in general to stop the lost raids? Makes no sense. I wanted to desperately keep on doing VOG and CE but when HOW came out that was that. Even if you found a raid team to do them they were so easy it wasn’t very fun. Just so much lost by implementing those kind tactics

I keep trying but there's nothing fun to do, also the skill level has gone to crap. Just running a heroic strike is a beating.

2 RepliesI know I will probably get killed for saying this but I played D1 from the very first week and then have played D2 since Christmas and on the whole I'd say I have more fun playing D2. However I am a desperately casual player so I kind of imagine that my opinion doesn't actually count for anything ;-) (I only do things in the game that don't involve contact with anyone else).

Destiny 2 has a lot going for it, while some have a hard time getting over a lot of the sweeping changes in D2, there were also a lot of quality of life improvements on the general gameplay, graphics and cosmetic features. The areas that are lacking in D2 are completely fixable, though time is important factor in being able to fix said problems. Over all I don’t account the issues as being greed related 100% be more so a dev team in division it terms of what the player actually wants gave us a buffet of limited watered down idea. They need s solid direction, with a solid plan instead of trying to cater to everyone. Impress the core players and the rest will follow, it’s because of them that this game even has a fan base.

I still play a lot. Don’t know why everyone hates it tbh. Yes it absolutely needs work but I have fun playing it so it doesn’t really matter that much to me.

I do. Most of my clan has stopped, but there are still six of us that show up most nights. Two 335s, so I shard most everything I get, but enjoy hanging out, blowing stuff up, and making fun of everyone’s mistakes, including my own. We have started raiding, and do the Prestige NF most weeks. This week is a bit different, but interesting with the scoring.
