The clock is ticking Bungie. You better believe you're under a microscope and your community (or what's left of it) firmly believes it will take a miracle to revive this Frankenstein of a game. The only miracle you have pulled off in the last 4 months was somehow disappointing people more and more with every update or post.
Even I have to stand in awe at your ability to not only embarrass yourselves but anyone who purchased this game. Getting caught playing this game on your friends list is now almost as embarrassing as running into someone you know at McDonalds "Uh I am just meeting a friend here, I would never eat McDonalds". Think hard before you hit that post button because if it is not mind blowing, I will be here selling pitchforks.

Everyone said the update had to be huge or else its over, well yeah they missed some things and yeah it should have been in vanilla but all that is irrelevant. The community wanted a great update, so they deliver a damn good update but now its "oh well it should have been in the game to begin with because these are things Destiny 1 already had" like yes we get it after the 30th time. The game is shipped and that subject is in the past, Bungie had a choice to put out a shitty update and lock most if not all of these features they mentioned behind the next DLC, or do what they did. Sure there were things they missed like random rolls returning, new subclass options, or strike specific loot. However I for one think they did a good job and am excited to see how they elaborate on the fixes and improvements they mentioned in the article.
