Alright. Seriously what is going on? The game has been out for 3 weeks and people, including myself are feeling like we are slipping back into the same grind we felt in D1... Granted D2 has more grind options, but its already feeling like work instead of play. I have been waiting... WAITING for faction ralley. Today Faction Ralley dropped and chose my faction #DeadOrbit4Lyfe and what does it say to earn tokens?... "Keep playing the game like you have been to earn Tokens"... WTF? Really? Just keep playing the same thing? No special multi team crucible? No true Faction vs Faction or anything? Seriously this kinda shyt is not gonna keep people invested... Am I crazy?

I said heyyeyaaeyaaeyaeyaa! What's going on?!

Farm Titan for 20 minutes, you’ll have 15 packages. YouTube that shit. Your welcome.

4 RepliesCreativity = 0 Destiny is on a downhill slope team. When Destiny year 4 is worse than year 3, and the content is brainless and uninspired, it's time to bail.
-
looks like destiny 2 will be seeing some serious content droughts similar to destiny 1, but at least destiny 1 had heroic strikes lmao. shit game
/s

but only the shit game part
-
Oh but it gets better. There's a 30 package limit and after that all you get is shaders. I opened over 30 packages and didn't get the Dead Orbit helmet for my Hunter. This is the dumbest shit Ive ever seen.
-
Also, once you receive 30 engrams from ranking up, you get no more rewards. So, that's also fun.

BWEKFST!!

And why the name changes? Sentencer IV became Song of Justice VI :(

10 RepliesYour playing 1/3 of 1 years worth of content, what do you expect when you go from playing 3 years worth of D1 content to playing 1/9 the amount of content as D1 finished with.

Edited by Sire Belmont: 9/29/2017 1:19:35 PMI told everyone and they wouldn't listen. Destiny 2 is becoming another product building up into a full game with the use of DLC for a span of 3 years, if not longer. It is not the "full game at release + DLC" we all were convinced it was going to be... The open world aspect, though enticing and beautifully created as it is, was just the frosting. Same goes with the amount of activities you can complete, all of which can be finished in less than a week for the larger majority OF "said" activities. And the proof is there, right on the monthly chart of future activities. Everything is time - gated in order to convince the fools that there is a lot of content to partake in. Sure, it gives players something to look forward to, but for what reason? It just proves that they don't have enough content even if you were to put all of the events in upon release. (Faction Rally? Yeah, cool, more stuff to get. Correction: More re - skinned stuff to get with different colour patterns and fixed weapon rolls. Wow, a new Titan helm? Nah, just a Kerak Type 2 helm w/ a head tuft. False alarm.) And of course, there are those who rise to Destiny 2's defense by proclaiming that same saying along the lines of "I love how people say that there's nothing to do and yet, never realise that, if they just took their time and didn't rush through everything, they wouldn't be complaining...". I can tell you right now, that I damn well took my time. I loved the whole game for the first time I ran through it and even decided to record everything I did in a cinematic fashion related to that of how developers present their games at E3, and did so in a way to still take in everything. I stopped at certain points to take mesmerising screenshots and read the Lore behind every Exotic piece of gear I got. The game was a fantastic presentation of what Destiny 1 should have been like upon release and holds promise, but does not deserve to be named as it's sequel. But it's ironic, isn't it? That those of whom did not play Destiny past September 2014 and/or did not play The Taken King, are giving off positive reviews on Destiny 2 and saying how great it is, and "how much of a PoS Destiny 1 was", when they truly don't understand how much of a PoS DESTINY 2 really is, compared to Destiny 1. The Destiny players who actually invested, tested, and avidly played D1 to help create it into something better, are the ones who can see what truly makes the sequel bad and everybody who, again, didn't play much of Destiny 1, just laughs at us for it. Destiny 2 could redeem itself, but if it goes down the same path of which Destiny 1 did, where I could only tolerate spending as much money on a game as I did for that one time and for that one game, I can tell you right now that I'm not planning on doing it a second time. It's not necessarily the money I'm worried about, nor the marketing plan. It's the time of which Destiny 2 will go about it's way for the next few years, sparking boredom and thus proving that D2 cannot offer any further incentive to play, nor any value of replay ability whilst waiting for the next fresh breath of content. "Oh, you'll be back", you're probably saying. No, I won't. There are many more games of which should take care of my downtime in a more efficient way. I don't hate Destiny as a whole, and I still enjoy the Lore, will miss playing with friends, and some of the community. (Keyword being "some". Haha) You may right... Playing with friends can be one incentive to help keep you going, but after being invited to play for almost 3 weeks now, I haven't accepted one invite from anyone. I can't motivate myself to do so. But yeah, that's my 'TL;DR' post about Destiny 2. Please queue the oncoming comments: "Bye" "Byyyyyyyye" "You'll be back. They always come back." Etc.

1 ReplyWhat grind? D2 has no grind it's all handed to you. They f'd up the investment side of things.... did some good things with D2 story and patrols but feels like 1 step forward 2 steps back kind of thing. All In the name of balance, feels like they played it too safe. I just hope they can get it figured out soon
-
3 RepliesJust go 2 man calus https://youtu.be/r59KUoc-_Bc It'll make you feel better.
-
I just wanna know why it takes 4 mins to find a crucible match and it's still laggy as all fuk???
-
17 RepliesThat's because D1 has a wealth of content while D2 is still a young baby. Once this game gets a couple DLCs under its belt, more people will find the reason to play this over D1.
-
I feel like faction rally should bring a crucible playlist like faction wars or something teaming factions up vs other factions. That would be really fun, and force us to wear our factions emblem while in that playlist. Some kind of pve competition would be nice also. In game leaderboard to show factions and see who’s winning the rally too. Faction rally is literally nothing, doesn’t feel like we’re going against other factions.
-
You're way off, and imo you haven't thought this out well enough to fornulate a solid opinion on these matters.
-
7 RepliesThe problem is there's nothing to grind in Destiny 2. Once you get the weapons you want, there's no drive to keep playing.
-
5 RepliesI seriously hope other game developers reads these forums and are taking notes on what NOT to do. Then make a kickass game!!

Faction rally was meant to be PvE based for some more bonus loot for what you do normally like grind events or the raid.
-
More grind options? How so when 90% of the content is pointless after the first time doing it.
-
lol....even Mortal Kombat has faction wars.
-
Wait for it... "new" content coming soon.

Op is tomato

Yeah, the fact that you started Faction Rallies with a lost sector you've probably done a million times felt lazy. You'd think there would be other low cost ways of kicking it off. Even just directing you to the new maybe-maybe-not public event...it would be a better first impression.
