Engrams suck sign and bump
Alright so am I the only one that once you reach about 360 light all engrams of all kinds are now useless? Except exotic engrams, this is ruining the game and needs to be fixed, we grind for the engrams we deserve light relevant gear for it, not some 365 Bs that won't even help me level anymore, everytime I get a legendary I just don't even pay it any mind at all.

Every engram I decrypt is useless and most I pick up are useless.

3 RepliesALL legendary engrams i get turn into year 2 legendary's. Why cant they turn into year 3 stuff? Also all my vangaurd and crucible rank ups are year 2 weapons! 4 LDR's out of my last 5 vangaurd packages. 3 zombie apocalypss out of my last 3 crucible packages! Can i ever get year 3 gear pls.

'GREEN ENGRAMS SUCK' farming the Archon Forge and there are like a hundred thousand green engrams on floor. i didn't think green engrams went to postmaster. turns out green class items do, and it caused at least 3 legendaries to be deleted from postmaster.

6 RepliesI totally agree you need to be at least 370 or 380 to do most things like raids and strikes. I've used 19 three of coins and got no exotics, so once you hit 365 blues end legendary are useless

Yep it gets to point where all blue or purple engrams may as well be considered "three of coins, but with even less chance" It makes killing stuff for drops feel pointless sadly.

It's like the loot system went back to year 1 trash. I keep getting the same damn legendaries over and over and over. It's absolutely driving me nuts and pissing me off.

If you are 360 then 365 will help you level, just saying

Legendary engrams decode at up to 365 light so after you reach this point they are good for 2 things, good rolls that you want to infuse and legendary marks. At this point you will rank up by faction packages, crucible drops, exotic engrams and endgame activities such as the raid, trials and iron banner.

Agreed same issues for me and everyone I play with. Makes no sense for a legendary engram to be capped at what a blue can drop at.

Engrams other than the exotic ones were meant to level you up anyways, they were always just a ways to get materials or to get good rolled gear. So when you say that engrams are useless, that implies that they were useful for levelling sometime before the expansion and to be honest, I don't remember that happening.

1 ReplyI think the blues need to change. They should at least get you to 350 as that's what the heroic strikes light recommendation is. Right now going between 340 and 350 can be a struggle and may push some players away

All the blue engrams I get are 340. Useless.

You still have Legendaries and heroics. Anyone above 365 loses those as well.

I'm 381. How do you think I feel about them. I just instantly dismantle as well. I have all the guns I care for and many more good rolls in my vault. There's not enough useful weapons. I use a hawksaw in pvp for primary that it is and switch between 3 others for Pve.
