So I know destiny is an mmo, and like most mmo's people care more about getting to max level as fast as possible, and getting the best gear. But I find that this expansions story was very short. Taking it easy I finished in 1 hour and 45 minutes. And when I helped my friend we finished it in an hour. when I told him we were on the last main story mission he said "really? I paid $40 for this?". And I couldn't agree more. I wish the story would have been longer.
it really is 1 - stop this red servitor from destroying the gate. 2 - see what the fallen are planning, destroy the anti air defences. 3 - destroy the SIVA defences. 4 - defeat the story bosses. I may have mixed up 2 and 3, but you get the point.
Does anyone else agree?

Paid $40? He got ripped off.

Edited by GeradinVae: 9/23/2016 9:35:23 PMIm pretty dissapointed, very short content and re skin gear. A few of the new exotics look cool though
-
Short, but very impactful, I found
-
Short storyline, but Destiny's content is in its endgame.

It was disappointing and short. Also, there are not that many quests after. Seems like the only hook to keep people somewhat engaged is the record book which is just pure grinding, with absolutely no challenge.
-
2 RepliesWell according to good old bungo there is more "episodes" coming
-
1 ReplyI don't feel like I wasted my money but I do feel cheated in the sense that I was made to feel like I was going to be getting alot more than what we got... To me "the biggest expansion since ttk" means it should be on par with ttk not just bigger than any other one "before" it. I also was rather upset that I was told "pre order to receive the iron gjally" I mean sure I got it but if your going to give something to someone for paying early at least let me use it right away... I don't say ya I'll pay $30 for your dlc but you have to make me a sandwich and do my laundry first...

still all the quests, the record book to complete. Probably will need to get all the SIVA clusters and exotics to get. Plus there is a NM and HM raid to get good gear sets.
-
Agreed, I was at least expecting a good amount of quests to do after like TTK had, but no, there was only 3.
-
Especially since ROI cost as much as the first two expansions, combined...
-
2 RepliesAll expansions have been this way. 5-6 story missions and 15+ side quests that add to the story. Seems to be their format
-
The booklet is the bulk of the content.
-
Bungie's focus is obviously on Destiny 2.
-
1 ReplyHow many missions are there exactly
-
Felt weird that Siva can get stopped so easily
-
Wish they added more to pve. Ttk had many more missions. But hey, I'm happy even with all the rescinded stuff. They could have done less.

4 RepliesEdited by Redstag Rambo: 9/22/2016 8:44:51 PMYeah I agree. It's going to be fun for a month or 2, but that's it unless they drop more. It was put together in 9 months by a small team, so it's expected to be shorter, but I was hoping for more. They did say Efrideet will make a big appearance and so far nothing, so maybe just more to come. Especially since Deej's weekly update sounds like there is from his last line at the beginning. "There are more episodes in store for you to experience."

1 ReplyThe story was very short yes; BUT the quality was there with the quests for Gjally and the khovostov; the main story missions whether you like it or not are actually good quality compared to stuff we've had before
April Update lol
The first and last missions were amazing...the "campaign" could have used 2 more missions of that scale. It certainly could have offered a little more story of SIVA and the Iron Lords. I don't feel cheated but not entirely satisfied either. I'm happy to be playing new Destiny content and I like the Splicers and the Plaguelands...just felt that a couple of those missions were really short and cheaply done. Haven't even tried the new maps yet or any new weapons in PvP...so I'm excited about that. And this raid is probably the first one I'm excited for since Vault of Glass.

I doubt kind too much since it was only f $30 this time and I still have penrith left to do after the storyline, but there definitely could have been more. That said, Destiny isn't known for have a good storyline.
-
If you play destiny for the story then you are paying and playing for the wrong reasons.
-
1 ReplyWe all must remember that bungie is NOT focused on destiny right now. They are all crunching away at destiny 2.
-
1 ReplyI have heard it was way short and have decided to pace myself. I have purposely only completed the first story missing so far. I will move onto the next when I get bored with that one. Liking it so far.
-
1 ReplyYou paid $29 not 40..
-
1 ReplyI don't really know what people expected... They use wording like, "biggest expansion since ttk". When there is no dlc since ttk, that label could be put on anything.
