You can go to hati and buy someone for a literally 50 $. There is a whole documentary on it, the guy doing it knew that there was still a slave trade in Haiti, but he was really shocked at how to cheaply he could buy a Slave. During American slavery in the early 1800s the cost of a slave was equivalent to the purchase of a car, today it's the equivalent to one or two tanks of gas.
