Hardest Boss in Dark Souls 3?
Ok guys, don't laugh, I know I can't be the only one... But I've just completed my solo run on dark souls 3 (only boss haven't fought was nameless king) and the boss I've has the most trouble with..by far...

Seriously, every other boss I've cleared in less than 10, most less than 5, and even some on the first try ever.

Edit #1: ayyyyyeeeee 100 replies, suave. It's good to see that some people struggled with the sage too. All my friends make fun of me for being stuck on him (even tho I beat the game before them, faggos)

I struggled a lot with abyss watchers but after them I breezed through until, pontiff then I met my ultimate foe the nameless King! He's dead now. I guess it's me wanting the sun to come back out and for it to stop raining that motivated me to kill him.

Abyss watchers was actually wicked easy for me, brought in my zwheihander and literally would smash him into the ground with the strong attack and just work him over, took me less than 5 minutes probably

5 RepliesThe ones I struggled on? Crystal Sage-4 deaths Always died to the clones... Abyss Watchers-7 deaths Badass fight, but couldn't master it until the 8th time. Old Demon King-11 deaths -blam!- him. Pontiff-6 deaths Holy pain, but still a fun fight. Lorian/Lothric-16 deaths -blam!- them too. Nameless King-12 deaths Ridiculous but awesome. And finally... Soul of Cinder-2 deaths. All of the others? No deaths, punks.

Pontiff he is a really annoying one. He drains your stamina and you just stand there unable to roll and attack.

Don't feel too bad, I struggled most on Deacons of the Deep. Kept getting one shot by his dark magic through the middle pillar after being stun locked from all 6281519153819 mob priests. Bull****. Other than that it would be Dancer and Nameless King.

Only the abyss watchers and the soul of cinder took more than 5 tries for me. A lot were first tries. Both Gundyrs, curse rot greatwood, crystal sage, and the dragon slayer armor. Also, I don't really consider myself to have technically defeated Aldrich because we killed each other at the same time lololol

In my ng+run the only boss that I actually I lost to was the nameless King, I had kept the same souls from the start to the of the run to the souls of cinder.

1 ReplyI don't understand how people have trouble with pontiff. At one point in time, I had fought pontiff 7 times and was only HIT 3 times. I think he telegraphs his moves alittle more than other bosses. Also when he makes a projection of himself, a heavy attack basically kills his clone as well as takes a massive chunk of health from him. Deacons are the only other non gimmick boss that are easier than pontiff. Tbh, running past all the enemies to one shot the wyvern is harder than pontiff.

The Dancer can also be pretty difficult if your not a sorcerer. If your a sorcerer you can just stay away from the Dancer and kill her with Soul Spear or GHSA

Consumed King was bugged on mine or something all of his attacks missed me. I didn't have to try one bit on this fight

Ah, no don't worry. I struggled a bit with the Sage as well. Haven't beat the game, yet, but so far, the only boss I've had more trouble with is Sully. That being said, Sully's the hardest boss so far. I fought Aldrich, and Yhorm once each though.
