Trials Now A Giant Sweatfest?
I am by no means a bad player, and my team used to go flawless three times a week with minimal trouble. Why was this week so horrible for Trials? Every game was sweaty and ridiculous, is this a common thing now for Trials? The one time we thought we'd go flawless we got shutdown on our last win. I enjoy a challenge as much as the next person but it's just impossible to get a fun game now. Not to mention its MIDA or gtfo. So,any reason it was so bad this weekend that anyone knows of?
EDIT: I was over-exaggerating about MIDA, don't hate for that, it's a fun gun, just particularly annoying to play against. =P
EDIT: Just tried Trials again this week and it was actually really great. Went against 2 teams we had no issues with and the rest were usually 3-5, had two games that were 4-4. Had those challenging games and had some games that just took a little thought. Went flawless and it was fun.
Tldr: Sweating every game isn't fun, but 2-4 sweaty games is all good in my book. Good luck to anyone else running. Not sure if the problem last week was the ELO farmers or map, but it seems to be alright to have some fun in Trials.

Not to mention, my team and I actually came across a team of 3 sunsingers for our flawless win. Can you imagine that? 6 firebolts, 3 doctrines, 2 snipers and a shotgun. As good as you are, there is not much you can do against that. It's the ultimate scrub set up I love the new matchmaking though. I've been flawless 32 times and though none of my characters kds are above 1.3, I thrive in trials. You put me against 2 or more doctrines though and Im more than like stuck.

6 RepliesIt's a new season so elo score's have been restarted so a lot of people will be racing to get their elo as high as possible again therefore a LOT of sweaty players would of been grinding it out

Only ran 100 games this weekend, but we had a 90 percent win percentage (usually 75-80) with my kd at 1.8 (overall is 1.4 for trials). This was while carrying and coming up against very strong teams of 2000+ elo season 1 players. I think people don't know how to play this map or something, nobody was very coordinated and even those who initially were we were able to mix things up to throw them off. I attribute this to there being a lot of closed lanes without a good sniper view, able to push past their easy mode snipes. Many of these games were 9-0 games helping viewers get scarab. Tldr: this week was great. People don't know how to play this map.

I can honestly say, as a casual, that I have quit even attempting to play Trials and most players like me have given up as well. I don't have time to "git gud" [spoiler]I use up all of my "git gud" in real life. :)[/spoiler] Trials is a competitive game mode. That's what it was made for. I don't PvP. Maybe you shouldn't either.

It was always a sweaty game mode, imo. I used to flawless all there almost every week in yr1. Since ttk dropped, my kd has dropped, so I'm sure some of it is my bad. It's always been sweaty though

Went flawless twice and 8-0 twice I think. It seems harder recently but I think it's just less people playing and the people left are the better players in general. Plus the recent change to guns will make things a bit more messy.

Look at the statistics. When ttk trials first came out, over 3 million players participated in trials. Two weeks ago, roughly 1 million played. The casuals in trials are all mostly gone. Sorry but you need to earn the lighthouse now. It is meant to be a competitive game mode, so why are you complaining? - stats from destiny trials report twitter feed

It's because hidden stats that separate highly skilled players and not so skilled players was reset. Matchmaking Put everyone back in the same pool to draw from. It will be back to normal in a couple weeks.

Agreed. Couldn't tell ya how many games the opposing team camped spawn area hardscoping. But it's really not hard to beat that especially if you have firebolts.... lol it was pretty easy ,just really annoying

1 ReplyI have to disagree, I went flawless this week and I didn't feel as if it was a sweatfest, there where so hard games (4-0) comeback on win 8 but as a whole is seams a lot more balanced. I was killed by snipers, shotgun (lord of wolves is a secret beast), hand cannons, autos, scouts. I personally enjoyed the vendor Byronic hero and a sniper, while another used auto and wolves, and the third used auto and sniper\shotty depending on how aggressive the opponent was. As a whole I'd say there is a lot more casuals playing but the higher tier of players where more prevalent due to the gold tier reward being completed each day. Anybody else share this opinion?
