Destiny vs Division
I played both last night. Destiny is a superior game. Better graphics, game mechanics, etc.

Better Loot Drops, actual replayable challenging missions with good rewards, and most importantly [i][b]NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS.[/b][/i] Ubisoft learned from Bungie what not to do. And at least ubisoft didn't spend half a billion dollars on a game series that nearly flopped. Btw I'm not bashing Destiny, I'm just saying it needs a lot of improvement. Edit: Lots of hate coming my way...it's to be expected. I'd also like to mention that Ubisoft actually does quick fixes for things in game, while it takes Bungie about a month. Some people just can't see it...😧

They continue to treat us like idiots, and luke smith still hasnt been fired. Destiny has its flaws, it is not perfect, but it is entirely bungies fault for those flaws. The division, so far, has a very solid platform and a very high potential story right out of the box. The cover system is way too sticky and responses to commands at the worst of times. The gun play is pretty solid, nothing fancy but it does the job well. Ubisoft has planned out DLC for the entire year and the first two content drops are free with smaller content drops free content drops in between. Simply stating that destiny is superior in every way when bungie continues to fail the community and insult them is pathetic. The division has flaws that need to be addressed, but destiny continues to have major problems because it seems that the dev team and bungie are always on vacation and doesnt give a shit. Pete parson seems to be a reincarnation of harold ryan..... Notice how im blaming bungie, not destiny. I know you fan boys like to cherry pick posts, so im making it clear that destiny isnt the master piece it should be because of bungie and only bungie.

7 RepliesIdk imo the division looks much better, the graphics are much more realistic compared to destiny and I don't feel like ubisoft has a vulture picking at my pocket. There's a plan and I know what I'm getting and I'm not left in the dark 24/7. Don't get me wrong I've got 21 days on my hunter and I still plan on playing more. But the division so far is what I was promised while destiny is still known as one of the biggest rip offs in history.

1 ReplyNeither is better in my opinion. They are too different to compare. I like both, however destiny is just played out. Plain and simple. The updates coming out are a joke. Give me something new and then I'll play destiny again.

I'm liking the Division more than I liked Destiny. I was never a big fan of space magic, but I enjoyed playing with friends.

29 RepliesStop comparing a 3rd person shooter with a loot system like Diablo III to a FPS with the best gun play of any FPS out there and a loot system that didn't just copy someone else's idea (e.g. DIII). You might as well compare Apples and Cats.

The games are completely different at their core but share a few elements such as RNG loot. You cannot compare the gameplay from a third person shooter to FPS. It's far better to compare division cover shooter gameplay to that of gears or even the MGS franchise. In return Destiny should be compared to other FPS lines such as COD or Halo. Both games have their pros and cons, personally I prefer the division but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying Destiny. I played from day one on destiny up until TTK and got bored of the game in the end, with the likes of Fallout, Halo, Rbs siege and division I have not played since then and may jump back on at some point. However my focus is on division currently and I like the gameplay, story and the way lore was built into the game. This is an area Destiny could be improved upon, the lore cards are great but they should be accessible in game and be there to find collectibles that add to the story. This is where Division has worked well, the inclusion of Echoes, phone recordings, drone footage and situation reports add further depth to the story and helps to support the main storyline. But hey this is my opinion and shouldn't affect what you want to play and what you find fun. At the end of the day it's up to you what you find fun and no reviewer or forum post should change that

10 Replies1. Graphics, The Division clearly has better Graphics then destiny, you must be blind or just stupid if you think otherwise. 2. Mechanics, You cannot compare mechanics as it is all just personal preference, once game is third person the other is an FPS, If you do not like 3rd person obviously you think the FPS mechanics are better but that does not mean they are actually better.

I like the division but destiny is simply a better game imo. Destiny has varied enemies, varied environments and a gameplay that is second to none. People will complain about lack of content and terrible story but the division is in the exact same boat with both of those issues. While I have fun playing the division I can't wait for the new destiny content in April.

THEN YOU GET THE OCCASIONAL SCREEN FREEZE. AND THEN THE ERROR "Sorry your account is temporally unavailable. Sorry for any inconvenience." ITS MY ACCOUNT HOW COULD IT BE UNAVAILABLE?!! Woooh. Point being, I spend more time looking at the opening screen then I do playing the game. Not to mention the boss fights. They are just bullet sponges, literally, just pump an insane amount of led into them. Don't get me wrong, the division [b]is[/b] a fun game, but I think it's the kinda game that'll get old quick.

Am pretty sure if you guys have a lot of ppl on ya'll friends list, Division is where it's at. The record breaking sales, should have killed these post already. Compare two different games all you want and keep saying a game that you haven't gave a chance is shit, it won't change the fact, that's The Division is where it's at. I've been playing Destiny since beta, been having 2 320s months now, need 1 light on my warlock to have 3 320s months now, I have all the quests exotics and all other exotics, complete the raid about 90 times, destiny is dry and am not wowed by the new update, I've seen every tatics bungie have to pull since vanilla until now.
