All of the weapons in TTK are underwhelming. Just outright disappointing. The only weapons in game that are any fun at all are the swords.
-
There was more primary weapon diversity. Now when you need a elemental primary, Zhalo Supercell. That's it

11 RepliesEdited by The Loathsome Dung Eater: 2/6/2016 6:55:15 PMI use less primary weapons than I ever did in year 1. Year 2: Hung Jury MIDA Year 1: VoC Fatebringer Timepiece Fang of Ir Yut Hawkmoon Void primaries when needed Hopscotch Pilgrim Vex Mythoclast Thorn (embarrassing admission) So let's talk about larger weapon diversity again Luke. Not to mention that autos and hand cannons are still insanely underpowered in PvE. In strikes I tried out Zhalo Supercell for a while and noticed that even with getting mostly crits, it took the majority of 2 mags to do what a scout rifle can do in 1. Edit: I guess I can add Red Death and Bad Juju to both lists (after pulse rifle buff that is). Either way the same discrepancy between the two years exists.

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 2/7/2016 2:50:34 AMyou kidding? they made anything with an elemental burn a walk in the park If they were on exotics Id say have them but they were on every raid and adept trials legendary primary
-
They made an already easy game even easier.
-
Elemental primaries added rarity and more value to end game guns like fatebringer, word of crota and the trials hand cannon ect. A solar hand cannon! Why the -blam!- would you remove this from the game. So depressing thinking about that. Grr

6 RepliesEdited by Ristar: 2/6/2016 9:40:22 PMI liked not having elemental primaries. I could use any gun I want. That was the goal I believe. You aren't forced to use a certain weapon just because of its Elemental property. You could use any gun you enjoyed using, which in turn allows more variety. But it seems the majority of players can't form their own opinions and just go with what others say is the "best". Which really isn't surprising.

All hail zalo!

Edited by Weewoo44: 2/6/2016 11:45:16 PMI don't see a difference. I thought what they wanted was weapon diversity, but what they have is people just choosing what has the best stats (like scouts rifles, majority of people pick hung jury).

I miss elemental primaries

1 ReplyEdited by JustnC: 2/6/2016 10:09:51 PMDestiny diversity now means whatever has the highest light and highest Ttk Not because its has a cool or fun perk Bungies plan seems to be what ever will make the game seem longer
-
I use the same sort of variety of primaries I always have. I get bored and try new things fairly often. The one nice thing about no elemental primaries is that I don't have any reason to go into yet another of Bungie's glitch ridden attempts at a raid. Saves me hours and hours of frustration.

fun was nerfed , made some people quit , such a great improvement

8 RepliesI like the idea of no elemental primarys, I mean there is so much diversity in weapons now! Like: Hung Jury, Imago Loop and Smite of Merrain. I mean, that's less than I used in year 1! What a great update, it really improved the game in PvE perspective.
-
Not just no elemental primaries, but garbage raid weapons in general. The raid weapons absolutely suck. QT is the only one worth using at all. The other raid weapons are completely outclassed by vendor weapons. Unreal.
-
No, its ridiculous

Learn to adapt or be left behind.

Here's a compromise: one of each. We have the Zhalo. It's a good piece for Arc. And it's a fast-fire autorifle, so we want different stuff for the other elements. Let's add a specific challenge in the Vault of Glass that will get us the Vision of Confluence. It's a well-regarded Solar primary. It's now exotic, so if you want elemental primary damage, you pay a price for it. And we could add a second specific challenge in Crota's End that would net us the Word of Crota handcannon. Same condition, it's now an exotic weapon. It's a void primary, different in nature from the others.

16 RepliesI still can't believe they missed the obvious solution. You make etheric light a consumable that when applied to a weapon makes it a random element. That way, you might have to use a few to get the one you want. This makes the PoE relevant (more than it is anyway), etheric light actually useful, and keeps the diversity of weapons continuous.
-
Year one I used all the raid primaries and loved them. Year two it's bad Juju on my warlock and supercell for the Titan and hunter. Absolutely no diversity at all.
-
No, it sucks without them

2 RepliesEdited by FREEDUMBBBBBBBB: 2/6/2016 6:14:10 PMFor the first 6 months of Y1, I frequently used: - Atheon's Epilogue - VoC - Fatebringer - Fang of Ir Yut - Word of Crota - Abyss Defiant For Y2 thus far, I've used almost exclusively - Hung Jury - Malice (only on the ladies and oryx)
IT WORKED!!!!
