More than 80-90% of my Destiny Friends List are gone for good or into other games due to *insert random complaint here*. In my opinion/experience most of them are gone because of the microtransactions future or one of Bungie's many scummy little business practices or another . So thank you Bungie. Very very much. Very appreciated. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Edit: Just wanted to state i am not "crying" or sad or do i suffer for emotional swings. I just bark interesting "facts"(to me) and politely/sarcastically thank Bungie for some interesting business tactics and choices:) And no friends, it is not boredem/RNG(or just that). Destiny was our go to hobby!

1 ReplySame here bud same here :/

Has nothing to do with micro or business moves. For me it's you can only be competitive with a certain load out.

I don't think your reasons are correct, everyone is done with the current content, the only reason I still play is addiction.

38 RepliesThe problem is that nothing matters anymore. They literally just threw our entire year one collection in the trash with ttk. This is shortly after giving us etheric light which was the polar opposite..... and something that we were all begging for.... Now with ttk, the only way to level up is to grind the same boring raid over and over. And now our chances of useful gear is cut in half because not only do we need rng to provide the needed equipment, but we also have to rely on pure chance for a higher light level as well. And if you care about your build, the roll on it. Grinding the raid would be more tolerable if this game actually still had people playing it..... but my friends list is mostly gone now. Nobody plays but me and one or two others. Putting a raid group together has been painful. Honestly, not even worth the time or frustration. This is a shame man. Bungie talk about value. They have removed so much value for their own in game activities that to a player, nothing is worth doing anymore. And with progression locked into double doses of rng, all forward motion is just halted. Worst of all, we know that nothing we do now matters, as they will make it all for nothing with the push of a button. They will lie and say that they care in the weekly updates, and then walk away from that screen and have a meeting about some new update that will contradict everything. Honestly think about etheric light. They gave us what we all wanted. A way to make all gear relevant. A way to keep our favorite stuff and feel a little different than those around us. And within a couple months, they took ALL of it away. Instantly. And now they are drip feeding us those same old exotics lol. What. The. -blam!-.

5 RepliesExcuse the idiots as they don't realize that criticism of a game create ms a model for change. They don't believe voicing opinions, frustrations, or facts can alter the state of a company's decision. These people forget the backlash against MS and how they changed that damned stupid DRM policy. They forget the backlash against Sony for the PS3 and how Sony changed practices and worked harder to earn our money. This game is a seriously flawed pile that many, much smaller games surpass it easily. Want an awesome, cheap, co-op game, with RPG elements and loot?? Dungeon defenders 2.

6 RepliesIf you look at the SRL stats on guardian.gg, almost two million players have run at least one race (using one track, across both consoles). So that's a minimum of how many players have played since SRL went live almost 3 weeks ago.

1 ReplyI have more people still playing destiny on my friends list then I do playing fallout, Star Wars, and cod combined. So destiny is doing something right imo
-
1 ReplyDone everything except trials Playing the same map over and over is boring same goes for iron banner sparrow racing is shit only 2 tracks WTF. Done the raids there is nothing to do. And no new raids or anything decent till destiny 2 what's the point
-
2 RepliesSame here lost all my destiny friends to other games. Well back to playing with Randoms. Don't you just love that awkward silence? I know I do. Have fun guardians.
-
1 ReplyI gave up a month or so ago. None of my friends play any more. Content is lacking and time gated, micro transactions, etc. Bungie can stick Destiny, the beta test, right up there back sides.
-
1 ReplyI'm glad people are leaving. Not because I hate everything bungie and destiny, but because it's the only way the morons at bungie will pull their heads out of there asses and knock their arrogance down a peg.

1 ReplyI just ate a family size bag of lays bbq chips in 2 days.
i regret nothing
2 RepliesYou making up random statistics about your friends playing destiny and coming up with reasons for them why they don't play are not facts. Let me show you how that looks: Every single player I have ever met and befriended on destiny still plays destiny and nothing else. Because even though many people whine and complain about the game, while inexplicably still coming to the forums all the time, they enjoy playing together and giving the complainers the daily dose of salt. Those are all facts, why? Because I said so. Source? Don't need one. Testimonials? I did them for people. Do we understand the fundamental flaws now?

1 ReplyEdited by Andy: 12/29/2015 10:58:41 AMyeah the game is over a year old.....

Mine is still full. Actually had to remove a bunch of people i didnt play with forever for clarity.

4 RepliesFor the record, I noticed call of duty now sells 'currency' and it is exactly the same money for exactly the same amount of currency... seems like bungie had very little in it to be fair.
-
1 ReplyThey need to make actual dlc's. Not random events that are used to grab money for cosmetic appeals... I don't know who is going to raid with an oryx head....
-
My day 1 buddy doesn't play anymore....its sad. I play raid Tuesday's..... Knock out 3 hard mode runs and that's it. I'll play about 3-4 hours a week.....down from about 20-25 hours. Bungie found a way to run people away from their game.

1 ReplyWe need new players not the same ones coming back

4 RepliesEdited by llPROGODll: 12/25/2015 1:44:01 PMthe problem is by removing the incentive lol sadly thier is no point to play take that with the wow rng loot the wow cash shop boost everyone hates the wow nerf patches the wow class rebalancing and the wow regearing process every major content drop and you have a game thats already been played for 10yrs hence why it bled in subs this year quite badly these are major problems bungie needs to avoid not implement let me put it this way ive logged in this week maybe 3 times gf has the game trying to help her level after about 5 mins of play she tells me shes bored .....thats not good both for new and experienced players and i'm sure us experienced players new boredom in year one many times yet we kept trucking however this time its different due to my reasons above i refuse to play for more then 5 mins when i got the witcher 3 a game i already demolished and would rather replay then this that says something as well with the division out on the 8th. That's 3 months bungie has if it is even remotely decent minus the ubisoft on the cover and if it is then destiny and its player base really do need to worry and speak with their wallets and time away from game don't support bungie until bungie supports you but eh thats me how bliz got on the will fix it train with wow 5 million ppl just vacated their game because they had this will do it our way and no amount of feedback will make us change it yet here they are trying to fix the damage they caused do it to bungie and watch them try to fix it.

1 ReplyEdited by Snugle Wugle: 12/26/2015 8:54:29 PMMost of my friends no longer play as well. The ones that do usually only hop on for raids. It's even gotten to the point where I hardly play anymore. It's just gotten to the point where there is just almost nothing fun to do. Nearly everything in Destiny is a grind at its core, and while that's not inherently a problem, it does turn into a problem when the grind is boring like it is in Destiny. The game merely serves as an avenue to get good drops, instead of being a fun, engaging game with amazing story, interesting encounters/mechanics, and good loot along the way. Replaying content has no value, other than the slight chance of getting *the* drop, and on top of that, the RNG generally just kicks you in the teeth. I can replay content in other games for the 100th time and still enjoy it, or at the very least find new ways to enjoy it. Sadly that appears to not be the case in Destiny.

1 ReplyMaybe they died. That's a pretty good reason to not be online.

2 RepliesHappy holidays !

3 RepliesNot only is there rarely people on the friends list - there isnt that many on lfg.

4 RepliesI'm a leaver. I left for a variety of reasons, all of which have been stated on these pages numerous times. Today I see Bungie tried to woo me back in with 15 strange coins and motes. Lol! What a stingy bunch of creeps. They failed if you guys didn't already figure that out. But Merry Christmas to all you guys and gals with a special shout out to LeaveTheBodyGetTheGhost.
