does farming for engrams still exist??
Can you still farm for engrams in Destiny??

Yes but it takes a while. White engrams: You only get one if you're level 1-10 Uncommon engrams: You're most likely to get this from killing enemies Rare engrams: You have a better chance of getting Rare then Uncommon Legendary engrams: Most likely earned from vanguard strikes,legacy strikes,or nightfall strikes Exotic engrams: mostly earned with a three of coins,but very rarely earned without a three of coins

Court of Oryx and Patrols if you want blues for infusing Strikes if you want Legendary / Exotic engrams. Make sure to switch characters between your 3 heroic strikes every week. You can get the 30 legendary marks with one character, but each one that does it gets a "cryptarch engram" ie legendary on their first Heroic strike boss kill each week. Also, you can get a limited time "loot cave" on the dreadnaught if you see the enemies are "moving against each other". From where you start in patrols look for a small room down and to the left. Hive will pour out of this door and you can get some mondo kill sprees there, if you run to the room when they start "moving against" one another.

Yeah you can. I usually run strikes with a ToC equipped for the boss. Plenty of engrams and a few exotics too Haven't done it for a while but will do again now there's more to go after

My gaming day consists of patrolling until I get an exotic from my 3ofCoins and completing bounties. In the process I get 6-10 rares a night and usually at least 1 legendary by just killing stuff. Then I move on to the daily mission for marks/engrams. To those who don't see a point in farming when you're north of 300, each rare has a chance of actually being a legendary, strange coin, or mote when you turn it in. In addition, you get at least a legendary, 4 strange coins, and motes when you level up with the Cryptarch. I'm a grinder, though, so most guardians don't get the same satisfaction from my method as I do.

Best spot for me is to jump on the Dreadnought for an hour. Sometimes I'll just run around and hit Court of Oryx. Once in awhile if I catch that the enemy is moving against each other I'll just hit whatever cave they're coming out of. that will usually put out more Ingrams than I can carry. I'm just looking to infuse stuff.

Patrols seem to pump out five or six under 30 minutes for me.

Once you're above 300, there's no point in farming for engrams. But you can do it for mote of light or strange coins.

4 RepliesYes, it still exists, but you have to apply a little patience. Remember to use 3oC. Do the first mission on Phobos (The Coming War). The ultra just after the appearance of Orxy can drop exotics. Finish the mission; whole thing is like ten minutes. Go do some PvP or bounties for a while. Run Eye of a Gatelord. As soon as you kill the Gatelord go to orbit. You'll then have the checkpoint. So long as you wait long enough it's fine to use the checkpoint repeatedly. Go do something else for a while. Repeat.
