the Infusion system is a failure in its current state. why should I have to spend so many weapon parts (and exotic shards for exotics? are you kidding me? you don't even let us buy shards from xur anymore) and rely on RNG just to max out weapons that I actually like using? it's almost impossible to get non-raid weapons past 313-315 without relying on getting lucky a few times every week in the hard mode raid. give us ascension back or fix infusion because infusion sucks, and it's just bungie's way of making us grind more.
this game has become way more boring ever since TTK came out. a 20 year old could've designed this game to be more fun and fulfilling. the combination of infusion, a lack of weapon parts, the now uselessness of motes of light(aside from leveling up gear quickly), severe pvp imbalance, the fact that all previous content in destiny has been made obsolete, and that the only things there are left to do in destiny are the raid, trials, and iron banner. and two of those things are broken because the gear you're going to get from it is going to have the same stats as vanguard gear.
thanks bungie, for making 80% of the content (and it was fun content too. the vault of glass is still probably the most well designed and most fun raid in this game) in this game pointless, aside from the intrinsic value people derive merely by playing the game. the only reason I play anymore is if I want to kick ass in trials for fun with my friends. but other than that, this game doesn't provide much incentive to play. and I'm willing to bet a large sum of money that statistics will show people are playing destiny a lot less because of it. This shit needs to stop. honestly, I'm only playing destiny anymore because I'm waiting for other games to come out. fallout 4 anyone?

Infusion is fine. It's meant to work in the long term. After the heroic mode comes out, and everyone has raid gear, people will put their drops into different gear and customise. It's not meant to work BEFORE hard mode!!!!!

5 RepliesMultiple problems with infusing 1. Raid gear doesn't drop enough (Gets even worse since you only get 1 chance a week to get gear) making infusing a specific item very hard 2. High cost in infusing; not only do you sacrifice one weapon, but you spend marks, glimmer, parts, and exotic shards to do it 3. Infusing only brings gear up to 75% of the light in the weapon being sacrificed 4. Exotics only have a chance do drop 310 once past 300. This can make infusing you want even more painful 5. Raid gear drop at light 300-310; this means you must pray to RNGesus to make sure that you get gear on level or better then your current gear (This is made even worse with the low drop rate) 6. Nightfall is crap; Bungie has even admitted that Nightfall rewards are as terrible They fixed the grind for start-mid game, but end game grinding is the steepest its ever been. Maybe I wouldn't be so annoyed if I had some more exotics to play with, but what do you know, Bungie has locked half of the brand new gear behind timegates, because they apparently they're trying to stretch the content (Yes it makes sense to lock content away to stop people complaining about a lack of content -_-)

Just forget about pvp

They have just made basically all of year one redundant unless you want to run something off your abandoned list. They could have at least made it so you can infuse all weapons and armor. But, no I'll say it again, the grind has gone 100 fold from what it once was and it was still a grind fest before. My friends list has once again become barren and will start to thin out eve more pretty quick.

They're just extendin the game hahahaha glad people are catching on. Love the game feels great to shoot stuff in the game. But they do a horrible job hiding the fact that they are trying so hard to make it difficult to make it max level or get gear u want.

Edited by Val44: 10/19/2015 1:23:37 PMInfusion is great the way it is. It fixed a few problems from the past. You see , you´re mad because you cannot ascend your old weapons ? They did that because the balance was broken. Gally was broken , fatebringer was broken and handcannos were as well. Its was also too easy to get maxed out weapons as etheric light was easily obtainable. You now have a range of weapons you can use which are all fairly balanced. You may have 4-5 primaries at 310 attack rating and the same amount of special and heavy weapons. Its a choice you make and you have to set priorities. At this point you dont have all your guns maxed out exept your favourite ones. You should also understand that alot of people enjoy the grind. I 4 1 need something to chase in order to keep me interested. If i have all the guns i want maxed out , all the gear at the highest light level , then i will find it pointless to play , because there is nothing for me to gain. Maybe play a little crucible and then log back off. Thats what the game had come to before TTK. I would just fill in the days between Osiris. 3 nightfalls , 6 raids (each between 30 min and 1 hour) and if i was bored a little arena . I had all the guns , all the amor with different stas to complement each other at the highest light level for all 3 character subclasses and i still have 60 etheric lights in the vault. Too easy , no replay value. Now they are raising the light level again and i love it.

Lets face it, shhhhhhh.

4 RepliesWrong infusion is not bad or terrible just players like you who probably reforged every thing all the time think so. You were not meant to just dilly dally willy nilly infuse everything without thinking about it first, nor should it be that way either ever. pvp was never going to be balanced how YOU wanted it for YOU do not get to ever decide what is balanced or not and never will in this game. previous content becoming less relevant for higher level players is how this game was always going to be, it is mmo styled and that is how mmo games work. that older content is only for starting a new toon or for newer players now. This game was not ever going to be made for YOU or be how YOU wanted it to be so get over it and yourself. Honestly they dont care what YOU individually like or do not like about the game and never will for they are not worried about keeping just YOU happy and never will be.

12 RepliesEdited by eEverchanger: 10/19/2015 4:30:03 AM-We need a billion more Quests, More Quests mean more reason to play PvE. -Fix infusion you can infuse ANY gear up to max (yes blues) -New Heroic Strike playlist with Legacy Strikes -Mayhem gamemode a permanent playlist -Make old Y1 purples obtainable through Strike drops or Quests -Did I mention Quests? -Unique Daily Heroic missions that rotate each week, Missions that were made specifically for the Daily. -Quests with fair challenges that encourage players to play Patrol, Strikes or Missions, rather than give up the Quest.

1 ReplyThe loot system is broken, which is the root cause of everything.

Agree 10000% #Fallout4

1 ReplyEdited by xenegamer: 10/19/2015 12:15:20 PMThe game has become painful and a chore to play. Although refreshing at first, TTK only made things worse - i have never known a game so inconsistent as this one - there is a massive failure in its design and the more they try to fix it, the worse it gets - it really is like they have no real direction with how they want the game to go and they are making it up as they go along, with knee-jerk reactions which pile fail upon fail.
-
Agreed, I'm just waiting for a game to take my attention from destiny... #fallout4?
-
The point of the game has always been to make you grind for no reason other than Bungie's lack of respect for your time. TTK certainly didn't change that, you're right. Now instead of not being able to max your armor without getting lucky in Raid, you're not able to max your weapons either.
-
Agreed! Bump!

I too am a little disenchanted with the changes being made. I really haven't play for a week. Sad to say I just not as excited to play now.

6 RepliesLet me just put this out there... Raid RNG isn't the only way to get your gear to 310. I have relied more on the 3 of coins Ultra Knight to get 310 exotic drops which I likely already have, and then infuse those into any legendaries. They gave me like 4 invectives one day at 310 so I just infused into other stuff like 1000 yard stare. Sure it's not ideal, I'm stuck hoping I'll get better raid feet, or 310 exotic feet (if they even exist for hunter in Y2) but there is more than just raid RNG. Also it really doesn't matter because better games are on the horizon and it's bye bye destiny.

Better than Ascension

I honestly miss the HoW days and thought everything they were doing with it was great. I wish they would have kept going in that direction.

Not reading. Horrible grammar.

Day one player here, have played pretty much everyday with my gf, (we have two tv's and two Xbox ones in our games room)...we both hate the direction ttk has taken Destiny. It's actually insulting how stupid some of the design decisions for ttk are....like sci fi Mario basically. I can't see myself ever playing Destiny in 2016, halo comes out very soon and from then on we have great titles like battlefront and rainbow six to play. I'd have to see some very drastic changes in Destiny for myself and my gf to consider coming back. Things like find 45 calcified fragments belong in shit games from the 80s, not current gen games like Destiny. I used to love Destiny but it's become the type of game I can no longer defend or support
-
6 RepliesI think they are setting us up for Everess Trading company where you be buying your weapon parts, upgrade materials and possibly even exotic shards for silver.

Well said! I totally agree with your point of view. As a result, I almost don't play Destiny anymore. Bored by long hours of repetitive activities with not much of a chance of reward. I'll keep an eye on the news here in the forum to see if anything changes.
