ToO is like an infected urethra
Seriously who designed this thing? This has to be the [i]worst[/i] pvp mode I have ever played. Now, I may be no major league gamer but have played plenty of pvp and by far this is the most unenjoyable, least rewarding thing I've ever seen on a DLC or in a game that I had no need for in the first place. Seriously, you have Crucible, you have Iron Banner, and what was your festering, bloated need to put this pile of dung in your game?
Next time, just name your PvP DLC Trials of If You Have Certain Gear. Or Trials of Use 3 Weapons Only and Two Classes In Our Game. Or Trials Of We Have No Idea How To Balance A PvP Game. This puss jewel is more misguided than a brain damaged cat trying to cross an 8 lane highway in rush hour.

But you can't have competitive multiplayer when weapon balance is always a mess and the connection is p2p. Stable connections and a balanced meta are just absolute necessities for anyone to take your "competitive" scene seriously. Like most things Destiny, it's a nice idea that just doesn't practically work because they went out of their way to -blam!- it up somehow. More timely updates to weapon balance (pvp only), dedicated servers, clan ladders, bracket tournaments, would totally save it. Bungie could stream tournaments and they'd bring in more players while having a more dedicated following. Much better than this half-assed shit we have now. But half-assed is the name of the game when it comes to Destiny. Half-assed story, Half-assed RPG elements, Half-assed MMO elements, and Half-assed multiplayer.

14 RepliesToO is based on skill. Balancing isn't a factor. You're either good at the game and coordination with a good team, or you aren't and you lose. Stop complaining, there are other things to do than ToO if you aren't good in PvP. ToO is meant for competitive and skilled players.

Also dont use auto rifles in trials unless your a beast.

1 ReplyI love trials. It is by far my favorite. Me and my clan look forward to it every week, infact elimination is up and it is no trials but it is a blast. Don't hate on something just because a few of you don't enjoy it.

Dude trials its aids... Its full of cheaters! Its bad that 6 out of 10 games you get put against someone ddosing or lagswitching... And for all those ppl out there that say u can't mod this game.... Do some research.. Anything that is coded can be modified... Ive seen a godmode hack already. Not to mention a blinking titan.. An invisible warlock... So yea the only thing that would make trials even remotely fair is this... If your character has been to the lighthouse for the week.. That character should not be allowed back in the trials until the following week

Dude just play it for fun man. I seriously suck hard in pvp. But I will totally go into trials and just chill and play with my friends when they're not trying to go flawless. Haven't been in a while tho. I'm gonna hit em up this weekend..

Trials sucks for one main reason, no matter if they are your friends or opponents, trials brings out the worse in people. This is so because Bungie hype up going flawless that players will only play with those who they feel can achieve this or use unfair advantages "hacks" to do the same. How to change it, either give the trials card eight loss and nine wins and as each game is played it advances by one. Or make the light house accessible by all, just not the chest room. Lastly ad optional matchmaking.

Shocker, your stats tell us you're a PvP scrub and you got your ass kicked when you tried Trials for the first time. So now you're here to bitch about how terrible the game is, because it couldn't possibly be you that's the problem, right? Nah, must be the game. To sum it up: Git gud scrub.

31 RepliesThey could have made IT MUCH more fun and balanced with 1 simple change. The card only has wins, and doesn't score losses. However each loss removes one win. You must fill a card with 10 wins to get to the lighthouse. For me what makes it a cancerous frustrating game is getting to 7 or 8 wins, and hitting a MLG team or laggers and basically getting reset to 0

I have never found any class overpowered honestly. I use a warlock and can decimate a team with a combo of grenades and bullets. Then when they gather up a good Nova will usually end their teamwork. As a hunter I have used the throwing knife to save my ass from a shotgun runner and blink to surprise my enemies. As a Titan I made people go "Oh shit it's Jim!" when they see me running at them to put a good knee in their balls, and I have had narrow escapes from death by punching out a guy and having a regenerating shield save me from his friend shooting at me. Honestly all of the classes are powerful. They just need to use certain skill sets to maximize your grenades and melee abilities effectiveness. For example I love using bloom and angry magic to make my Nothing Manacles do max damage against people hiding around corners.

2 RepliesThe game mode is fine. Weapons are imbalanced and that's the real issue. I'm all for spawn swaps, though. And map rotation (as in game to game) should always be on instead of Burning Shrine every other weekend.

Get your team together and get back in there. The only way to get better is to keep practicing. Learn from your losses instead of crying over them. Take this knowledge and use it to form your own strategies against your enemies. KEEP TRYING. I guarantee you there's not a single mother-blam!-er here who hasn't had their whole team get curb-stomped by some Crucible Try-hards. It can be frustrating, but it's infinitely more rewarding when you finally start to pull a winning streak. Personally, I'd come to accept that I may never reach the Lighthouse or even win any Trials gear, then after 2 hours of play we managed to pull an 8-1 card. The very next Card, we got our very first Flawless run. It took all night (it was 4 am by this point) but we finally did it. And you can too.

Wait for TTK. All their crutch weapons will get nerfed, and getting 9-0 will be like shooting fish in a barrel.
