Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out.
We understand you're unable to start A Spark of Hope. Did you happen to complete the Risk/Reward mission in the EDZ yet? Please note this must be completed before you can begin A Spark of Hope.

Изменено (Pilouri): 4/22/2025 6:58:26 PMWell, I'm not sure about this, how can I find the Risk/Reward quest?
-
I think there was a blue mission marker on the map (the overhead map view, not within cosmodrome itself) for the cosmodrome. If you select it, you should be able to either launch the missio directly or add a waypoint (◇) marker to run towards through cosmodrome to get to the mission flag to start it. It has been a few years since I've done that particular mission, though, so I could be wrong. Good luck!

Изменено (Pilouri): 4/22/2025 8:36:58 PMWell I can't find it either, just the basic assault on the side but no sign of a Risk/Reward nor a A Spark Of Hope mission... I've checked for both in the Cosmodrome AND ZME... Is my game broke ?

Check the EDZ again. Thinking about it, there was a start flag near where you land for Devrim. Or launch from the map of the EDZ.
hope you're good at jumping!
Hello back again, after looking for 3 hours on each map I still can't find this quest. There is no blue flag, no talkbox or anything that could get me on the way. I don't know if I missed one specific mission, if my power level is too low or even if I need the DLC (what would be really weird) I'm hoping that someone had the same issue and found a solution cause i'm hopeless (at least it's funny that i'm searching for "A Spark Of Hope" ahah) If someone can find what the hell is happening to me, I'll thank him on three generations I guess ^^

Изменено (purplespider1976): 4/24/2025 5:08:00 PMAs this is part of the introduction questline series, power level isn't a concern and won't be blocking you from getting it. I think there are only a very few activities where you can't access them if your power level is too low. They're all significantly harder anyway, and you need experience with buildcrafting in Destiny to master them. I just checked a video where they picked up the Spark of Hope quest, which leads to the Risk/Reward step. It looks like you need to pick up the "Spark of Hope" quest from Devrim Kay in the EDZ. It looks like there may be several steps to this quest before you get to the Risk/Reward one. As you complete each quest step, it looks like you have to go back to Devrim to get the next one. At some point, it will say you can access the "Risk/Reward" mission from the Director tab. (The Quests tab where you can see all of your currently available quests.) You should be able to launch it from there. If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. Unfortunately, all of my characters have moved past this step, so I can't even start a fresh character to see the progression myself.

Well I'm out of ideas, I don't know if it is just part of additional content or if I am doing something wrong. I'm nearly out of quests, got only one eternity exotic quest (with the horse and all), two others exotic quests are the missions you can play in the legends part of the sky map and the two last are the season pass quest (which I can't continue cause I don't have season pass for now) and make my competitive matchmaking. Hard to tell what I'm missing Start to think it is only the additional contents for real

Ohhh...just had another thought... In the Tower, beside the postmaster vendor (Kada??), if you're standing looking at her, to your left there's a very small kiosk where you can check for abandonded quests. The quest(s) may be in there. The kiosk is in a small nook and a little hard to see, I think there's an npc or two there blocking the view.

The new spark and risk/reward is most definitely part of the free package and not tied to any of the expansions or seasons in paid content. I was free-to-play when I did it for sure. The only other thing that may be causing issues is if you bought the "skip" from the Cosmodrome....but it doesn't sound to me like you did at all. I know someone who may have an open character slot. It may take me some time, but let me see if they'd be willing to start a fresh character to run through it.

I thought so but I can't find it in the abandoned quests, I found on different tutorials that this quests can be find here but only if you are an elder player. Fact is, I'm not ahah At least I can thank you for all the help you're giving me, you really are a nice guy ^^ Maybe it passed on additional content since you did it, I don't really know Hope I'll find a way someday ToT

I feel bad about not being able to help you solve it. I've only been playing just over 2 years now. I still remember how chaotic things felt to start. There's a lot of stuff in here I haven't tried yet. I'm glad to know you are enjoying Destiny. The forums can be a bit of a negative space. There are a lot of people around willing to help, though. Have fun! Enjoy! Ttyl.

UPDATE I decided to start a new character to get rid of this problem, and I may see where I mistook myself. So when your doing your New Light's quests on the cosmodrome there will be three quests marks, one for the skipping and the two others for the quest to continue. But when your done with Navôta and came back to Shaw Han he will tell you to find Zavala at the tower. I think I didn't go to the tower by the map but just clicked on the skipping mission (got a blue quest mark just like the others) In fact, it does get you to the tower but doesn't continue the New Light quest. I think I'm dumb but at least if anyone encounters the same problem I may have helped you. Thanks a lot for your guys help, hope this topic can help someone else too. Bye

Ohhh...I forgot about that skip. It was added after I did the intros. I'm glad you figured it out. 😀 Risk/Reward is a good quest, but
Have patience in the jumping section. Some of the platforms are hidden in shadows. Adjust brightness if you need to.
it can be frustrating. It is good practice for other missions, so keep at it! Have fun!
