Heyo team,
While the increase to 1000 spaces was really appreciated, the new armor system has kept vault space scarce.
As a player who likes to build craft; stats & set bonusses matter. Meaning multiple of the same stat armor pieces must be kept for each set bonus.

Eg. scenario: dismantle 5 boots of same set get set bonus mod, can go in any boots.
This would mean to have every stat/set bonus combo you would only need 24 pairs of boots. ATM it's 24x Number of different sets x If you care about tuned stat. It's way overkill.
To add to this the tuned stat you needs to be released to any stat. That was a ridiculous decision making builds that want 200 in a stat take up even more space.
These changes would mean as whole, per class, 120 vault spaces for a complete legendary armor package. 360 vault spaces for all classes...
Oh and while we're at it don't forget about exotics.
How about allow their stats to be fully customizable meaning only 1 of each exotic is required. Perhaps with a mod slot that controls if it's Gunner, Grenadier, Specialist, Bulwark, Paragon or Brawler. Then just pick the 3rd stat.
This Mod could be unlocked by obtaining 1 of said exotic with that category and then dismantling it.

it's what I've been using to ensure I have 1 of every possible stat split. Eg you can mark a piece with identical stats & set bonus (& tuned stat if you want) as junk from this site then find it in DIM or just move it to ur character to delete it.

Great idea. Vault space issues are currently preventing me from bothering to log in… it takes a special kinda energy to go through and delete hard earned items …

To add to that, older set bonuses out of rotation should be added as a mod to your ghost . It takes out another variable . Also more useful than being attached to a class armour as it won’t limit use of the exotic class items .

That’d be great if they did that. I wish they’d do away with the archetypes too and instead give us a ghost mod slot for primary stats and another ghost mod slot for secondary stats and then make them guaranteed so the only RNG left is the five armor slots, the tertiary stat, and the tuned stat in the case of tier five drops. That should be more than enough RNG for armor.

why is it bungie can't give us unlimited vault space yet betheda can give us unlimited storage space for junk,ammo and chems in fallout 76 can anyone explain that

Honestly, just having the guardian games class item special mod slot on all gear would be great. I would have it only require you to get that gear at least once in that particular gear slot. Remember when you could reroll masterworks on weapons? How about bringing that back, but for armor and rerolling their archetype?

Go to Loadouts > Loadout Optimizer. Choose your stat distributuion goal, pin exotic armour and any other pieces you plan on including / excluding, which mods will be equipped for stat mods considerations, desired set bonuses, etc. Use the search function to narrow down the search of 500k+ results as well as when using the class item and pin it.

My idea for weapons was that each time you get weapon with a set of perk - those perks are unlocked and you can get the weapon from collections with those perks ie: the more weapons of the same version you get, all the perks would eventually unlock and you can get the version you want from Collections.

Vault storage space is so bad that I've started using my other characters as storage. Maybe I'm just a packrat, but I like all of my weapons and like to collect them. But I wouldn't mind if they doubled their current vault space. Keeping all of the weapons I've collected while also collecting good rolls on all the varieties of armor can be frustrating with only 1000 vault space. It just seems like I have to pick one or two rolls on a weapon I like if I want to conserve space.

This, for me, was the hit and saving factor of GG's this year!!! I wish all armor from here on out gets this treatment. Instead they will just add 3 or 4 more new sets in June. grumble grumble

Edited by Killapete232: 4/17/2026 6:36:18 AMWe should have a 5 piece armor set with the ability to change it from bulwark, paragon, specialist, brawler, grenadier, and gunner with the mod slot for interchangeable set bonus like the festival of the lost helmet and or guardian games class items. Each character with this set would be only 15 slots total. We use materials and currency to change the sets at anytime. Newer sets we farm for in pve or pvp will unlock the gear sets for future content releases and added to these armor sets that we can modify. This gives players a chase and manages vault space issues. For weapons we have a collections tab for weapons, let us just pull the weapons with the rolls we farmed and acquired. Each weapon should be unlocked for claiming if you aquired it already, with traits and rolls we have already gotten unlocked for that weapon upon dismantle, inevitably being able to unlock all traits for all weapons as long as we farmed each gun for all rolls available. Have said this about a handful of times, and suggested this over the years since before crafting was introduced. Would be a huge QoL improvement and give a endgame grind respecting players investment of time.

I went on to tyride a while ago... An extra slot just like the raid gear has but for set bonuses... Have it cost a cypher to unlock after full masterwork.... Easy done...
